This is a hybrid position where you'll be required to be in office at least two days a week with the flexibility to work from home the remaining days if desired.

About the Role

This role will partner with internal stakeholders to drive financial insights and complete special projects.

The individual in this role will work closely with Finance leadership to develop and maintain financial models utilized for annual budgeting, forecasting cycles, quarterly reporting, and ad-hoc analyses. In addition, this individual will enhance and maintain the capabilities of existing finance systems and assist with the implementation of new finance systems. Lastly, this role will assist with special projects including but not limited to the integration of acquired companies.

In addition, we utilize modern systems, such as Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and Expensify, to efficiently perform our work while ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting

  • Deliver multi-entity and consolidated budgets that includes complex financial transactions (revenue, leases, debt, R&D capitalization, transfer pricing, etc.)
  • Consolidate financial models to generate consolidated profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and/or maintain various financial models to support decision-making for various strategic initiatives.
  • Gather, validate, and enter inputs needed for financial models during various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts, monthly rolling financial models, and ad-hoc planning scenarios). Collaborate with business leaders to assess and understand the assumptions and changes in the business that affect financial models.
  • Ownership and maintenance of the revenue model, and other complex models as needed, for the purposes of budgeting and forecasting and partnering with department decision makers. Provide support and guidance to the financial analyst when budgeting/forecasting OPEX.
  • Analyze key SaaS company performance indicators, such as the Rule of 40, customer acquisition costs (CAC), and retention, to assess financial health and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct variance analyses and identify drivers impacting performance to support decision-making.
  • Conduct month-end variance analysis of entity-level and consolidated profit and loss, and financial and non-financial metrics. Investigate and communicate variances compared to budget, forecast, prior month, prior year, etc.
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly forecasting, board reporting, and other reporting requirements due to the parent company.
  • Work directly within finance systems to finalize and record revenue recognition at each month-end period for one business unit (short term: 6-9 months).

Finance Transformation

  • Gain a strong understanding of the functionality and capabilities of Sage Intacct and other integrated systems. Deeply understand how data flows between systems.
  • Create and maintain Sage Intacct (and other finance systems) dashboards and reports as needed and requested, which are utilized by senior management, department decision makers, and inter-finance personnel.
  • Improve and support the maintenance of current integrations between Sage Intacct and other systems across the organization. Ensure that documentation exists to support system processes and procedures.
  • Stay current with quarterly ERP feature releases to assess the impact to the iLobby finance function.

Special Projects & Other

  • Work directly with Finance leadership to integrate acquired companies onto existing systems and processes. Perform tasks such as data migration, system configurations, etc. to onboard acquired companies onto existing systems.
  • Assist with due diligence activities, as needed (M&A, financing, etc.)
  • Assist with other tasks within the finance function, as needed. Support other finance team members with their tasks during absences such as sick days, vacations, etc.
  • Ad-hoc financial and non-financial analysis and reporting, as required.

Requirements:

  • University business degree with a specialization in accounting and/or finance.
  • CPA or CFA.
  • 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, preferably in the SaaS or technology industry.
  • Extensive experience building and working within financial models for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Prior work experience with an organization that reports under IFRS or US GAAP (preferred).
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools, such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of excel (sumifs, pivot tables, index match, etc.).
  • Experience using finance systems to build and generate reports.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
