Full job description
Planitar is looking for a curious, driven, and service-oriented Technical Business Analyst to join our growing team, working alongside our Information Technology team and acting as an IT business partner to our sales, marketing, and operations teams.
The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring our internal systems work seamlessly, integrate effectively, and support our growth. This role combines business analysis of departments IT needs with the ability to recommend and help implement solutions to their problems, liaising with the IT department to deliver solutions.
You’ll work between IT and other departments (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering etc) helping them understand their business requirements as well as enabling them use the tools currently in use such as Smartsheets (Managed Services), ZenDesk (Product Support), HubSpot (Sales & Marketing), and BambooHR (People & Culture) ensuring they’re configured efficiently, documented clearly, and integrated across our IT ecosystem.
Job Duties
- Partner with department experts to understand workflow needs and optimize system functionality to support business goals.
- Work with IT to help manage configurations, permissions, and integrations across systems to ensure data integrity and smooth cross-functional processes.
- Support new system implementations, upgrades, and rollouts including planning, testing, documentation, and training.
- Act as the SME in IT for Planitar’s non- IT business systems, including but not limited to Smartsheets, ZenDesk, and HubSpot.
- Develop and maintain clear system documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Deliver training and guidance to employees to drive system adoption and consistency of use.
- Work closely with IT to align system architecture with security, compliance, and data privacy standards.
- Continuously assess opportunities to streamline, automate, and integrate processes across teams.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5+ years of experience in business analysis paired with a technical background in IT infrastructure is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Smartsheets, ZenDesk, HubSpot, or other similar SaaS tools.
- Strong understanding of system integrations, automation tools, and data workflows.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to translate technical details into practical business solutions.
- High attention to detail, strong documentation habits, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Experience working with or supporting cross-functional teams
- Certification / training in Business Analysis considered an asset
