About Gravity

Gravity is the platform public agencies use to manage budgeting, automate financial reporting, and meet compliance with confidence. From Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports (ACFR) to Budget Books to GASB disclosures, we give teams the tools to move faster, work smarter, and build public trust.

We’re looking for a Brand & Communications Specialist to shape and share our story—internally, externally, and everywhere in between. In this role, you’ll bring structure, voice, and consistency to how we present ourselves in the market, particularly across the public sector, where trust, clarity, and credibility are crucial.

In this hands-on role, you’ll be the steward of our brand identity and messaging, the lead communicator for press and PR, and a key writer and content creator across customer stories, social media, and executive communications. This is a role for a strategic doer who can turn insights into headlines and jargon into meaning.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Events to ensure the voice remains aligned, and the message remains sharp.

What You’ll Do

Brand & Messaging Stewardship

  • Own and maintain our brand voice and visual identity across all channels and teams
  • Ensure consistent tone, messaging, and narrative alignment across content, campaigns, and customer touchpoints
  • Manage and evolve our brand asset library (logos, templates, boilerplates, tone guides, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to align product messaging with overall brand positioning

Communications & Content Development

  • Write and distribute press releases, executive communications, and thought leadership
  • Own and maintain the news and media page of the website
  • Develop content for earned media, award submissions, and public commentary
  • Ghostwrite for executives (articles, LinkedIn posts, quotes, speaker bios)

Customer Stories & Case Studies

  • Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to uncover compelling customer stories
  • Conduct interviews and write case studies, testimonials, and use cases tailored for public sector audiences

PR & Earned Media

  • Identify and secure earned media opportunities: podcasts, op-eds, speaking engagements
  • Build and manage relationships with media, associations, analysts, and partner institutions
  • Coordinate press outreach and coverage tracking (in partnership with PR agencies or in-house tools like PR Newswire or Muck Rack)
  • Track and report on share of voice, sentiment, and media performance

Organic Social Media

  • Support organic social media strategy and execution with short-form copy and visual alignment
  • Write executive LinkedIn posts, announcements, and repurpose news and event content
  • Collaborate with the Demand Generation Team for channel management and performance tracking

Internal Collaboration & Brand Consistency

  • Partner closely with Product Marketing, Demand Gen, and Events to align brand messaging across all GTM motions
  • Provide strategic writing support across campaigns, launches, and internal initiatives
  • Review and refine messaging in customer decks, campaign assets, landing pages, and sales enablement materials

What You’ll Bring

  • 4–6 years of experience in brand communications, PR, or content marketing
  • Proven ability to write for a brand across press, case studies, leadership content, and more
  • Experience pitching media, building comms calendars, and tracking press coverage
  • Strong understanding of messaging frameworks, brand positioning, and narrative building
  • Experience in B2B or SaaS, ideally with exposure to the public sector or govtech
  • Bonus: Familiarity with platforms like Muck Rack, PR Newswire, or Cision
  • Bonus: Understanding of compliance, audit-readiness, or finance-related communications

About You

  • You’re a writer at heart. Whether it’s a press release or a case study, your words are clear, confident, and purposeful
  • You’re hands-on and proactive, you ask sharp questions, and get moving
  • You’re organized and able to manage multiple timelines, reviews, and priorities
  • You understand how to balance tone: credible without being stiff, warm without being vague
  • You’re energized by making complex stories accessible, especially in technical or regulated spaces
