We’re looking for a Product Manager who’s equal parts strategic thinker, builder, and civic technologist. As a Product Manager, you will own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring our software solutions meet customer needs and align with business goals. You’ll collaborate with engineers, designers, and public sector partners to launch intuitive, secure, and scalable products that improve lives. You’ll balance user needs, policy constraints, and tech feasibility—while keeping delivery outcomes front and center.

What You'll Do

  • Own the product lifecycle from discovery to launch for one or more mission-critical services.
  • Deeply understand government users, both internal and external, through research, data, and lived experience.
  • Define and execute the product roadmap based on strategic goals and customer feedback.
  • Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements through market research, data analysis, and stakeholder input.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and business teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
  • Develop clear product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor product performance and key metrics, using insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring user-centric design and functionality.
  • Lead product launches, working with marketing and sales teams to drive adoption and growth.

What You Bring

  • 3–6+ years of product management experience (startup, civic tech, SaaS, or gov experience a plus).
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams in agile environments.
  • Strong user empathy and a passion for public good.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, bureaucracy, and legacy systems with resilience.
  • Experience balancing user needs with legal, compliance, and policy frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Know your way around APIs, data interoperability, or legacy system modernization.
  • Bring a background in service design, behavioral science, or public policy.
  • Bonus: familiarity with 18F, USDS, digital service playbook, or open-source civic tools.
