Sales Development Representative

Role:
The Sales Development Representative role at ICSPI requires an energetic self-starter with a passion for sales. We are a fast-growing start-up and need a highly driven SDR to support our sales activities.
In this role, you will educate researchers on the principles of atomic force microscopy (AFM) as well as utilization of our breakthrough instrument, the world’s first AFM-on-a-Chip, the nGauge.
You will support regional sales managers both domestically and internationally by qualifying Marketing Leads (MQL’s) as well as researching leads, out-bounding (cold calling, cold emailing) to qualify leads and convert to sales qualified leads.
You will gain experience in the materials science and surface analysis markets as well as selling technical instrumentation to both the academic and industrial markets

Responsibilities:
- Qualify inbound leads
- Generate outbound leads utilizing our CRM database (HubSpot) and qualify
- Manage and update our CRM database
- Be able to work with minimal direction and supervision
- Work closely with AE’s and regional sales managers to drive opportunity pipeline and sales goals
- Research and build our lead database
- Achieve quotas for MQL to SQL conversion
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering (preferred) or Business
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong writing and research skills
- Highly organized and process oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Sales Development Representative with a track record of achieving sales quotes
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques such as prospecting and cold calling
- Experience with CRM and other sales software (e.g. Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.)
- Experience selling lab equipment
