What will you be doing as a Senior Analyst?
- Deep Diving into Data: On our dynamic Data & Analytics team, you'll dissect intricate datasets, revealing the patterns and stories that lie beneath the numbers.
- Crafting Data Narratives: Your ability to translate complex data into compelling insights will shape our business strategies and drive key decisions.
- Harnessing Advanced Analytical Tools: Whether it's harnessing Python for data manipulation or building robust forecasting models, your technical expertise will be a cornerstone of our analytics engine.
- Cross-functional Synergy: Working hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams, your insights will breathe life into marketing, sales, and product initiatives, amplifying our impact.
- Championing Data Mastery: As a beacon of analytical excellence, you'll help foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
In your first 30 days, you will:
- Familiarize yourself with our company culture, values, and workflows. Dive deep into our current analytical methodologies and tools to understand our data landscape.
- Shadow key members of the Data & Analytics team, participate in regular meetings, and forge connections with cross-functional teams to understand the collaborative essence of our projects.
- Access, explore, and comprehend our primary data sources, recognizing key metrics, and variables that drive our analytical narratives.
In your first 60 days, you will:
- Begin to lead and contribute to projects. Start with smaller-scale projects to test and refine your approach.
- Delve deeper into our suite of analytical tools, exploring advanced functionalities and optimizations that can elevate our analyses.
- Establish regular communication with key stakeholders, understanding their requirements, challenges, and expectations to ensure your analyses align with business objectives.
In your first 90 days, you will:
- Begin shaping longer-term strategies based on your analyses. Provide recommendations that influence departmental and organizational direction.
- Actively collaborate with teams outside of analytics, integrating your insights into broader initiatives and campaigns.
- Begin guiding less experienced team members, sharing your insights and expertise, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Innovation: Identify and advocate for new tools, processes, or methodologies that can enhance our analytical capabilities.
In your first year, you will:
- Take on more prominent leadership roles within the analytics team, driving larger projects and influencing key business decisions based on your insights.
- Spearhead the creation or refinement of overarching data strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and maximizing ROI.
- Review and enhance existing analytical workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and relevance. Implement best practices consistently across the team.
- Identify and advocate for new tools, processes, or methodologies that can enhance our analytical capabilities.
What are we looking for in a Senior Analyst? (Must-haves)
- Data Analysis Expertise: Deep knowledge in analyzing datasets, identifying trends, and deriving actionable insights.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with analytical tools such as Python, R, SQL, Excel and data visualization platforms like Tableau, Power BI, Looker
- SaaS Business Acumen: A deep understanding of the SaaS business model, including key metrics, cohort analyses, and customer lifetime value calculations.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate data-driven insights into strategic business recommendations and drive key decision-making processes.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to articulate complex data narratives in a clear and compelling manner to a variety of stakeholders, from technical peers to executive leadership.
- Continuous Learning: A track record of staying updated with the latest trends in SaaS analytics, data science, and associated technologies.
- Education or Equivalent Experience: Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a data analysis role, with at least 1-2 years specifically in SaaS analytics or a similar domain.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience:
- Data Engineering Knowledge: Experience in building and maintaining ETL processes, ensuring streamlined data integration and quality.
- Advanced Degrees: Master’s or other advanced degrees in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Industry Certifications: Certifications in analytical tools or methodologies, such as Certified Data Professional (CDP) or similar.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Proven experience in mentoring junior analysts, fostering a growth-oriented environment.
