Role description:
The Email Marketing Team Lead is responsible for supporting the management and execution of external marketing campaigns using Arcadis owned email marketing channels (Eloqua, Hubspot, etc.). Working closely with the Digital Marketing and Global Marketing team in delivering best practice cross-channel & email campaigns.
Role accountabilities:
Email Marketing
• Collaborate with the Email Marketing Manager to design and implement user journeys, ensuring seamless and engaging experiences for the target audience.
• Support the execution of the overall email marketing strategy to drive engagement and adoption across campaigns.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) to maintain the highest standards of data security and ethical marketing practices.
People Management
• Evaluate individual and team performance based on KPIs established by the Global Marketing Communications team.
• Lead recruitment efforts to identify suitable candidates, conduct interviews, and provide feedback.
• Support onboarding of new hires through induction programs, introductory calls, probation reviews, and performance evaluations.
• Manage team dynamics through PDR, GPS, rewards and recognition, skill development, coaching, check-ins, and fostering a positive team environment.
• Recommend pay raises, additional training, or support to management.
Project Initiation/Management
• Stakeholder management and developing best-in-class email campaign strategies based upon campaign brief

• Assist in gathering and analyzing email marketing requirements; ability to assess the complexity of requests and assigning to relevant team members.
• Translate requirements to identify assets needed for campaign production.
• Coordinate work estimates and negotiate turnaround times within the team.
• Provide status updates on campaign development and adjust timelines as necessary.
• Serve as the main point of contact for all email marketing-related requests, ensuring alignment and clarity across teams.
Report/Analytics/Optimization
• Generate email and campaign engagement report, present findings & insights, and provide suggestions for optimization
• Incorporate high-level email marketing reporting, including monthly KPIs, quarterly assessments, and end-of-year summaries for the business.
• Collaborate closely with the Data Analytics team to develop reports and insights for the email channel's monthly and quarterly evaluations.
• Build custom reports using available data and analytics tools like Oracle BI as necessary
• Provide actionable insights that are clear and easily understood by stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making based on campaign performance and trends.
Process Improvement
• Continuously assess and refine email marketing processes to identify areas for improved efficiency, ensuring that the team is consistently driving process improvement efforts.
• Implement and support initiatives aligned with GSSC Marcomms S&A to streamline operations and enhance overall performance in email marketing campaigns.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team by encouraging feedback, sharing best practices, and incorporating agile methodologies to adapt to changing needs and optimize workflows.
Utilize data analytics and insights to inform process enhancements, ensuring that improvements lead to streamlined processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- 6+ years of cumulative hands-on experience in email marketing and marketing automation, with a demonstrated ability to manage large-scale campaigns and automation workflows.
- Solid knowledge of marketing automation platforms and tools like Eloqua, with the ability to adapt to various systems used for campaign execution and workflow automation.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for email template customization and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience in generating reports and interpreting campaign performance using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar data visualization platforms.
- Strong understanding of email compliance laws and best practices, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and email authentication standards like SPF.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite tools, especially Photoshop and Dreamweaver, for asset creation and editing.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in people management, team development, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management skills to drive campaigns from conception to completion.
