Role description:
Arcadis IBI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traffic / Transportation Engineer specialized in Traffic Due Diligence Studies for Highway Assets at its Hyderabad office Location. The ideal candidate should possess solid background in traffic engineering and data analytics, with a minimum of professional experience of 3 years. He or She should have a technical acumen and can effectively tailor traffic and transportation engineering solutions to support the team objectives. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting comprehensive traffic studies, leveraging data analytics tools, and producing insightful reports. Your strong communication and presentation skills will be instrumental in conveying findings effectively.
Role accountabilities:
- Conduct Traffic Due Diligence Studies: Conduct comprehensive traffic engineering assessments and due diligence studies for highway assets including liaison with Government authorities at Field.
- Data collection and collation: Oversee the systematic gathering of comprehensive traffic data, including vehicle counts, classifications, origin-destination, axle load and other traffic surveys. Ensure the accurate compilation and organization of collected data from Field and Office, validating its integrity for reliable analysis, and forecasting in the due diligence process.
- Data Analytics: Utilize various data analytics tools and techniques to extract, analyze, and interpret traffic-related data, contributing to evidence-based decision-making processes and efficient reporting.
- Communication and Presentation: Effectively communicate technical findings, methodologies, and recommendations to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders through clear and concise presentations, both written and oral.
- Report Writing: Prepare detailed and well-structured technical reports documenting the outcomes of due diligence studies, providing actionable insights and recommendations to address any identified traffic-related issues with a high degree of clarity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Collaborative Team Player: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including civil engineers, transportation planners, and urban designers / planners contributing to a holistic approach in project evaluations.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency in all traffic engineering assessments and due diligence studies.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in traffic engineering, data analytics, and related fields, and apply this knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of due diligence studies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Background: A post-graduate degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or Planning or a closely related field, with a strong focus on traffic engineering and transportation planning.
- Experience: Around 3 to 5 years of experience in traffic engineering, with a specific emphasis on conducting due diligence studies for highway assets.
- Data Analytics Skills: Highly proficient in using data analytics tools such as MS Excel, Python, or other relevant software to analyze and interpret traffic data.
- Professional Certifications: Any relevant certifications and transport modelling expertise in traffic engineering and / or data analytics will be an advantage.
- Experience in Investment Grade Traffic due diligence studies is Highly preferrable
