The parking industry is a $30B sector still largely reliant on antiquated hardware and manual permits. We are modernizing that landscape.
HONK processes hundreds of millions of transactions annually for municipalities, universities, and private operators across North America. As we scale rapidly, we are looking for a dedicated owner to lead a key segment of our product portfolio.
The Role
As a Senior Product Manager, you won't just manage a backlog—you will define what we build and why. You’ll spend your time with operators navigating real-world chaos, translating their challenges into high-impact solutions, and staying embedded with the engineering team until the work truly lands.
We don’t build features just to match competitors or hand off specs and hope for the best. We expect you to start from the problem every time, ensuring every line of code solves a meaningful pain point. This role is for a builder who earns the trust of both technical and operational teams and uses that influence to drive outcomes, not just ship schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers until you understand their challenges better than they do, then define the solution.
- Prioritize with rigor and provide clear, decisive communication when declining requests to maintain roadmap integrity.
- Work directly with engineers and designers as a collaborative teammate rather than a formal intermediary.
- Understand APIs and backend workflows deeply enough to navigate constraints and advocate for the right architecture.
- Write unambiguous specifications and remain actively engaged from initial kickoff through final delivery.
About You
- 3–5 years of product experience, ideally somewhere that moved fast and didn't have a lot of process to hide behind.
- Comfort in B2B SaaS.
- Ability to apply first-principles thinking to prioritize high-impact results over task completion, ensuring every project delivers genuine business value.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency and proactively adopt emerging technologies.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to shared goals
Bonus Points
- Previous work experience in payments or with operationally complex workflows.
