High Q provides drug hunters and structural biologists with quantum-enabled EPR systems that resolve complex problems in molecular dynamics. Our flagship product, the FATHOM EPR Spectrometer, is a cutting-edge Electron Paramagnetic Resonance system designed to simplify groundbreaking research in biophysics, materials science, and pharmaceutical development. We are seeking an accomplished Director of Sales to drive penetration of the FATHOM EPR Spectrometer to academic/national laboratories and pharmaceutical/biotech companies around the world.

The Director of Sales will spearhead the promotion and sale of the FATHOM EPR Spectrometer, a high-value, precision instrument tailored for advanced scientific applications. The ideal candidate is a seasoned sales professional with a strong background in scientific equipment sales, a knack for building client relationships, and a solid grasp of the suite of analytical tools used in a range of research settings. The ideal candidate will excel in a competitive market, using technical expertise and strategic sales skills to meet ambitious revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target new sales opportunities within biophysics, biochemistry, pharmaceutical, and other research sectors.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including principal investigators, lab managers, and procurement specialists.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations, showcasing the FATHOM EPR Spectrometer’s superior capabilities and research impact.
  • Develop and implement customized sales strategies to consistently achieve or surpass quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Craft campaigns and materials highlighting the FATHOM’s unique EPR features and benefits.
  • Provide post-sale support, coordinating with High Q’s technical team for installation, training, and ongoing client success.
  • Stay ahead of industry developments, competitor offerings, and EPR advancements to position High Q Technologies as a market leader.
  • Track and manage sales activities, pipelines, and forecasts using CRM software.
  • Represent High Q Technologies at scientific conferences, trade shows, and networking events to generate leads and elevate brand recognition.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biophysics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Biotechnology); MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of proven sales experience with high-value scientific instruments, ideally in spectroscopy or similarly sophisticated analytical equipment.
  • Demonstrated success closing deals for high-value products and meeting ambitious sales targets.
  • Technical familiarity with the range of spectrometry/analytical instruments used in target research organizations.
  • Established connections within biophysics, materials science, or pharmaceutical research communities.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with a results-oriented approach, capable of thriving independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Prepared for significant global travel for client meetings and industry events.
  • Understanding of procurement processes in academic, government, and private research settings.
