Key Accountabilities
- Maintain the product roadmap as a living artifact, translating COO-driven priorities into a sequenced, actionable plan for the development team.
- Write clear, developer-ready tickets with well-defined requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that minimise ambiguity and back-and-forth.
- Ensure tickets, workflows, and product decisions are scoped in accordance with applicable data privacy regulations (PIPEDA, HIPAA and others) and internal security best practices, escalating compliance concerns to the appropriate stakeholder.
- Own backlog grooming, sprint planning, and refinement ceremonies, triaging incoming issues and escalating prioritisation decisions to the COO as appropriate.
- Coordinate with engineering and QA to ensure releases are well-tested, properly documented, and communicated internally, maintaining enough technical context to proactively resolve scope and feasibility questions before they become blockers.
- Contribute to UX and workflow design within tickets, ensuring logical, consistent user experiences aligned with product direction.
- Track product adoption and flag meaningful signals to the COO to inform prioritisation decisions.
- Serve as a conduit between the development team, sales, customer success, and company leadership, ensuring priorities, decisions, and roadmap updates flow clearly in both directions.
- Bring the voice of the customer and the sales pipeline into product planning discussions in collaboration with the CSM and sales functions.
- 3+ years in a product management role within a SaaS or technology-driven company, with a proven ability to thrive in fast-moving, execution-focused environments.
- Exceptional written communication skills, with a track record of turning ambiguous requirements into developer-ready tickets, user stories, and documentation that teams can act on immediately.
- A solid working knowledge of software development processes, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and common project management tools.
- Comfortable operating at the intersection of technical and non-technical audiences, conveying decisions and context clearly in both directions without losing nuance.
- Familiarity with UX and workflow design at a logic and systems level, sufficient to contribute meaningfully to product decisions and design discussions without needing to own visual design.
- Strong organisational instincts with the ability to sequence and manage competing demands across immediate, medium, and long-term horizons.
- Comfortable working with product metrics and adoption data, with the ability to identify meaningful signals and communicate them clearly to leadership.
- Motivated by enabling others through clarity and structure, and energised by the kind of behind-the-scenes coordination that allows great software to ship on time.
- A genuine commitment to the company's core values of Integrity, Quality, and Entrepreneurial Spirit.
