We simplify what’s normally a complicated process and provide medical professionals, parents, coaches, league directors, and owners with the information they need to make informed decisions about player safety.
Job Description: We are looking for qualified Athletic Therapists and other medical professional to perform baseline testing for local sports teams, leagues, and other organizations. A commitment to working afternoons, evenings and weekends as well as travelling to and working at multiple locations, is required depending on team availability.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-season baseline concussion tests for athletes as required using the SCAT.
  • Ensure all testing is conducted in a safe and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all assessments.
  • Collaborate with HEADCHECK Health employees.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Maintain all professional certifications in accordance with the appropriate governing bodies and respective institutions. i.e. Canadian Athletic Therapist Association (CATA); College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC); British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).
  • Must hold professional liability insurance (PLI).
  • Bachelor's degree in the related field, Athletic Therapist, Kinesiology, etc., OR provisional AT candidates who hold professional liability insurance (PLI) OR Master’s degree in Physiotherapy
  • Strong knowledge of baseline testing protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Must be flexible and available for temporary, seasonal work as per team availability.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Compensation:
  • Competitive hourly wage.
