- You'll be a core member of the finance team, supporting the development and implementation of internal financial controls with a focus on accounts receivable
- You’ll have developed relationships internally and externally and are confident disseminating information to the right people at the right time
To get to this point, you'll need to do these three things
- Have a strong work ethic, be a critical thinker and know how to find inconsistencies, especially within accounts receivable
- Work with your finance team to revise and improve our accounting process, emphasizing accounts receivable efficiency and accuracy
- Understand how to pull and apply information accurately in a fast-paced environment
Of course, it's not easy
- You’ll need to manage our day-to-day accounts receivable operations, ensuring timely invoicing and collections
- You’ll need to stay up to date on monthly reconciliations, particularly for accounts receivable
- You’ll be responsible for issuing invoices to customers and ensuring timely collections
- You’ll be responsible for tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues
- You’ll be assisting with month-end financial statements, emphasizing accurate accounts receivable reporting
- You’ll be assisting in the completion of annual financial audits, focusing on accounts receivable documentation and accuracy
- You’ll support ad hoc projects as required, with a particular focus on improving accounts receivable processes
You're perfect for this role if
- You have a BSc/Ba in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field
- You have a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles, with a strong emphasis on accounts receivable
- You have significant work experience in accounts receivable and invoicing, with some experience in junior accounting roles
- You’re able to handle sensitive and confidential information
- You have a knack for numbers and details, especially within accounts receivable
- You’re great on Excel
- You have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
These aren't necessary, but it would be cool if
- Worked with Xero, Quickbooks, or similar ERP software
- You’ve worked in a startup, tech, or similar environment
