The Role
As Head of Strategy, you will lead our Strategy team to create winning proposals that solve client objectives with creator marketing. You will join the Go-To-Market Leadership team, and by understanding their biggest challenges, paired with opportunities in the market, you will develop frameworks and strategies to enable your team to consistently win 7-figure proposals. Under your direction, Strategy will be a key driver of Revenue and ultimately allow our clients to exceed their goals and find scalable success with #paid.

If you're successful, you will:

  • Oversee all proposal decks that drive our sales objectives, leveraging your experience and understanding of creative strategy and the creator economy to nurture and elevate our team
  • Manage, mentor, and coach a team of strategists, ensuring they have the resources and guidance required for success, and improving strategic and persuasive presentations skills
  • Understand and create full funnel marketing strategies, with ability to make technology, media, and KPI recommendations across organic and paid media
  • Develop strategic deliverables that include but are not limited to: competitive analysis, brand positioning, creative core idea, market research synthesis, creative brief, workshops (activities and output reports), messaging matrices, and brand plans
  • Collaborate across departments including Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Product, Data, and Analytics, to create optimal positioning, platforms, and program recommendations for brands
  • Ensure the Strategy team meets deadlines while maintaining consistent quality
  • Position #paid as the industry creative thought leader by championing insights-based storytelling and big-picture thinking in all of our strategic recommendations
  • Become proficient in all things #paid, including our product offering, technology, and team, ensuring optimal solutions for clients while being the knowledge-partner for sales
  • Leverage data analytics to inform and refine strategic decisions, ensuring our recommendations are both relevant and impactful, while consistently driving value for our clients.
  • Lead creative ideation and proposals for large RFPs and Focus Accounts
  • Lead client presentations in collaboration with the sales team as needed
  • Engage directly with key clients, fostering deep relationships and serving as a trusted advisor, guiding them through our platform capabilities and ensuring their objectives are met
  • Build out packages for tentpole moments—equipping the sales team with proactive opportunities—by identifying proven creative approaches and templated frameworks for brands to easily activate
  • Stay ahead of the curve with emerging market trends, consumer behaviors, and platform evolutions, translating these insights into actionable strategies that drive growth and align with our clients' visions
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for client growth, ensuring a dynamic approach in crafting both reactive and proactive strategic proposals that align with evolving market demands
  • Design and implement comprehensive digital strategies and playbooks tailored to individual client needs, ensuring alignment with their overarching marketing objectives and maximizing ROI
  • Collaborate with VP Sales and Regional Directors on overall proposal strategy and prioritization
  • Craft vertical specific creative insights, narratives, and data-backed playbooks
  • Seamlessly incorporate new product features into strategic proposals
  • Partner with the marketing department to create cohesive in-market materials
  • Identify and execute culturally impactful creative and submit for global awards in collaboration with Marketing
  • Champion world-class onboarding, training, and performance management
  • Effectively manage expectations with internal and external stakeholders

You're perfect for the role if you have

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a creative strategy or similar department
  • Demonstrable experience in responding to and winning high-value RFPs
  • Deep understanding of creator marketing tools, technologies, and campaigns
  • In-depth understanding of media planning, and how creators fit into larger marketing plans
  • Strong understanding of agency landscape to provide innovative ideas on how to elevate creator marketing with the IAT framework in the US and Canada
  • Understanding of earned media and ideas that generate headlines
  • A passion for social media, from both a branding and cultural perspective
  • Fluency in data and analytics, and how data informs strategies and optimizations
  • 5 years of leadership experience
