GroupBy is looking for a Project Manager who is excited to live in the space between business and technology. In this role, you will collaborate with some of the world's largest brands to deliver industry-leading e-commerce solutions using GroupBy’s suite of products.
Our project management organization is the core group responsible for ensuring the successful onboarding and integration of our customers to the GroupBy platform. As part of this team, we will challenge you to learn, grow and collaborate with our cross functional teams to drive client success.
As a project manager at GroupBy, you will be empowered to directly influence the onboarding experience of some of some of the largest retailers in the world.
What you’ll be doing
You will be joining an enthusiastic team that loves to work with clients and help them onboard onto the GroupBy e-commerce platform. As you learn the GroupBy project delivery methodology, you will be able to apply your skills in project management in various online retail industries including apparel, beauty and hardware.
Our project managers collaborate with every team at GroupBy - other project managers, technical consultants, product owners and developers, the sales team and customer support. Through this journey, you will help ensure that our teams understand the business needs of our customers, and that we provide a seamless, hassle-free onboarding experience.
The ideal candidate will bring a keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams to drive a project to successful completion.
Note: The project management team sometimes visit our customers across North America - willingness to travel up to 5-10% is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with our customers to kick off projects, capture project requirements, develop a project plan, and coordinate with the inhouse development and technical teams to deliver according to that plan.
  • Become an expert on GroupBy products and services and contribute to the long-term roadmap of the company to ensure that we are delivering the most value from our products.
  • Convert project requirements into a project plan for the development team using JIRA and other typical project management tools.
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop a release schedule and manage the team to deliver those objectives.
  • Help innovate within the ecommerce space by delivering engaging, highly converting and meaningful user experiences for the world’s largest brands.

SKILLS YOU ALREADY HAVE

  • 5+ years in project management or project management or delivery related activity (PMO, etc.)
  • 1+ years of experience delivering web applications (as a developer or a PM)
  • Experience in agile delivery, including familiarity with processes such as scrum, sprint planning and development best practices.
  • Working technical knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript and web services
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and the ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Worked in a SaaS environment

THESE ARE AN ASSET

  • Experience working with the e-commerce industry
  • Experience with cloud based platforms / SASS
  • Experience in a start up environment
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related concentration
