Manager, Electronics will be responsible for the electronics performance, reliability, cost, and compliance are within international regulatory standards. The incumbent is responsible for leading design reviews, technical risk analysis, and investigations

  • Manage all aspects of the electronics function from the budgeting process, to HR, capex, device electronics, and final delivery
  • Lead design reviews, technical risk analysis, and investigations to proactively solve complex problems
  • Lead design solutions to meet product specifications and functional requirements
  • Lead electronics performance, reliability, cost, and compliance are within international regulatory standards
  • Liaise and collaborate with various Greentank engineering teams (Mechanical, Compliance, Manufacturing, Test, etc.) across the UK and China to ensure product and system requirements are met, and to drive product development through to production
  • Produce detailed engineering materials including design schematics, tolerance analysis, design notes, failure analysis reports, and technical review documents
  • Assist with electronics development process improvement activities
  • Reading and understanding circuit diagrams of various electronic components to comprehend their functionality and characteristics.
  • Designing circuits for different electronic components, writing control programs for electronic components, and designing experimental equipment.
  • Hands-on fabrication of various electronic devices and experimental equipment.
  • Repairing various electronic devices and experimental equipment.
  • Sourcing, learning, and training other team members in various types of experimental equipment.
  • Disassembling and analyzing samples, providing professional recommendations.
  • Addressing team and customer inquiries and complaints related to electronics.
  • Executing engineering analysis using 6-sigma methodologies.
  • Providing practical production experience, such as material costs, supplier information, and manufacturing difficulties.
  • Making, and modifying the samples for R&D purposes.

Formal Education or Equivalent

  • Master degree in electronics, mechatronics or mechanical engineering
  • PHD in a related field is an asset

Years of Experience

  • 5 years of electronics or mechatronics engineering experience
  • Proven experience in managing electronics functions, preferably in a product development or manufacturing environment

Specialized skills, knowledge or certifications unique to this role

  • Fluency in Mandarin is a must
  • Proficiency in electronics design software and tools, such as CAD programs and circuit simulation software
  • Solid understanding of international regulatory standards and compliance requirements for electronics products.
  • Experience in conducting design reviews, risk analysis, and investigations to solve complex technical problems.
  • Ability to lead and guide the design process to meet product specifications and functional requirements.
  • Experience in power systems such as SWPS.
  • Experience of developing consumer products with rechargeable batteries.
  • Experience in embedded programming(MCU)
  • Experience with python/labview is a plus.
