About the Team:
Config Hub is the service that manages client configurations.Which includes provisioning details, and enabled features.The team comprises of 7 engineers (Backend, Frontend, QA, and DevOps).Team is responsible for managing Backend, API, and Frontend for Config Hub.This role requires a strong technical leader who can architect resilient, high-performance services and mentor other engineers to elevate the team's capabilities. We need a forward-thinking problem-solver who is eager to tackle complex challenges in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
How you’ll make an impact:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient, and high-performance microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
Take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to testing, deployment, and operational support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers, product managers, and architects, to deliver robust and complete solutions.
Lead technical design discussions and contribute to our architectural roadmap, ensuring our systems are built for scale and long-term maintainability.
Champion best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, CI/CD, and observability. Analyze and optimize application performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks in our backend systems.
The must have skills that matter:
You have 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on building large-scale, distributed backend systems.
You are an expert in Java and have extensive, hands-on experience with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot). Knowledge of messaging queues and event-driven architecture (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
You possess a deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
You have proven experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs and have a strong understanding of microservices architecture.
You are proficient with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) databases and understand their trade-offs. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, particularly with services like EC2, S3, SQS, and managed database services.
You have practical experience with CI/CD principles and have worked with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. Experience with performance monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
