Bazaarvoice is looking for an extraordinarily talented individual to join our world-class sales team.
You have to be the type of person that craves a challenge and is unafraid to constantly push yourself outside your zone of comfort.
We are looking for a unique sales person. You have to be able to manage a broad territory and be able to carry the entire sales process from start to finish on your own merits and skills.
This doesn’t mean we won’t be helping you sell – we absolutely will.
But we believe strongly in a sales person that has the ability to play all of the important sales roles, from:
- Being confident in selling a high-ROI solution.
- Demonstrating the value propositions of our products and services.
- Partnering with the client’s marketing and merchandising staff and working through their organisation to find the key champion.
- Running a territory franchise, including territory management, account planning and generating pipeline on a continuous basis.
- Exceptional qualification skills and accurate forecasting over a two-quarter period.
- Navigating complex sales cycles, building consensus across multiple business units and successfully navigating sales processes to close.
The ideal candidate will be someone with an extremely strong record of achievement in a new business sales position within software and/ or/ other online based technologies.
A background in selling into marketing departments up to CMO level would be a major advantage along with an understanding of social and the impacts it can have on business in today’s world. If you don’t have this background you will need to convince us that you have the ability to learn these ropes quickly and bring a perspective that can easily be adapted.
Your profile will be assessed carefully for a fit for the role based on:
- Aptitude for sales.

- Experience.
You’ll work closely with the Marketing Team and Sales Development Reps to help build your pipeline but ultimately you are the one that is driving the sales cycle at every stage.
This position will require that you travel depending on the needs of prospects so travel of 20% or more cannot be an issue.


  • University degree.
  • Significant work experience with a track record of success in a customer-facing new business sales hunter role.
  • Expert in selling an innovative product in a new industry (with a proven need) ideally within a start-up environment.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in the space (social, online marketing technologies) or a close to space that Bazaarvoice sits.


  • Business data analysis (e.g. applied analysis of customer data, financial data, macro industry data, etc.)
  • Advanced user of new and emerging web/online communication technologies, such as RSS, blogs, social networks, etc.
  • Passion for technology, particularly online communication/collaboration technologies.
  • Additional language skills.
