Powered by this strategy, strengthened by our partnership, committed to our people and digitally advancing, Grand River is securing the future health of our community.

To deliver on this bold strategy, we seek an exceptionally talented individual that can cut through the data and deliver actionable insights to deliver our vision: A world class health system supporting healthier lives. The true strength of analytics lies in its ability to help leaders make more informed, more effective and more intelligent decisions. That is why we are investing in a decision support function that leads the organization towards becoming ‘insight driven’, with the ability to turn insights into action.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the VP, Digital, Insight, Improvement and Innovation, the Director, Data Governance and Analytics will design and implement the strategic vision as it relates to Grand River Hospital’s (GRH) data governance, management, analytics, and reporting. The Director is accountable for leading a team that develops and delivers data governance/management services, and analytics/reporting services in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support organization wide evidence-based decision-making.

The primary objective of the Director is to provide leadership to the Decision Support Team and Health Information Management Team. As a senior leader, the Director mentors and is a role model for staff in demonstrating the values-based behaviors of Grand River Hospital. Additionally, the Director will provide support to the KW4 Ontario Health Team’s Data & Analytics Working Groups. As co-lead of two working groups she/he will be responsible for helping to develop out the work plans and support the reporting and analytics needs to the OHT through a dedicated resource within the Decision Support Team.
