The primary responsibility of this position is to shunt trailers in and out of the Service Centre bays, pick up and deliver equipment to customer, keep the yards organized and communicate with the service team to ensure that equipment is staged and available when required to maintain a continuous flow of work. This position also provides support as required to pick up parts, organize the parts room and tooling, and provide other hands-on support to Management when required, such as yard maintenance, snow clearing, and salting.Day ShiftMonday - Friday WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU? Duties Priority - Shunting trailers in/out of bays as required Organize and stage trailers for repairsEnsure afternoon shift trailers are staged properlyPick up parts when requiredMeet with service team regularly to maintain communicationIdentify any issues with parking and flow in yard and work with management to resolveMaintain yards – arrangement and cleanlinessEnsure all safety standards are followed at all timesAssist with cleanupMaintain tractor as required to internal and government standardsGreet internal and external customers and suppliers professionally upon arrivalPick up and deliver customer trailers for the service department in a timely and safe mannerOther work as assigned by Service Manager or delegate Education and Training Valid class A, AZ, or Class 1 license Clean driver’s abstractForklift experience Skills and Experience Safe driving skills and ability to operate tractor trailer units in tight spaces safely and without damaging the unit Strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing effective communication with both internal and external customersKnowledge of city roads
