Giatec Scientific Inc. (Giatec) is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Co-op to join our team for the Winter 2025 co-op term (January to April). As an Electro-Mechanical Technician Co-op, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in the field of electro-mechanical systems. This internship is designed to provide you with practical knowledge and exposure to various aspects of system design, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assembly and installation of electro-mechanical systems
  • Support the testing and debugging of electronic components
  • Document and report findings to senior technicians and engineers
  • Collaborate with team members to improve system efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an engineering or technical program at a post-secondary institution
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
  • Must be a full-time student in a registered co-op program
  • Must be available for the Winter 2025 co-op term (beginning of January to end of April)
  • Must be able to work from the Giatec office at 5 days per week
