- Providing architecture security review of key initiatives by evaluating existing or proposed solutions to determine impact and provide an assessment with analyses and recommendations in line with security requirements
- Ability to perform risk assessment of proposed and existing system architectures for compliance with security controls and best practices, recommending technical, administrative and physical controls to mitigate any identified risks.
- Owns the System Diagrams for the GTP Gov environment and works with cross-functional teams to architect solution improvements and changes, while maintaining compliance with standards. Act as the prime contact for security related architecture artifacts including: developing, maintaining and promoting architecture artifacts ensuring their integration across all products/lines of business
- Ensuring Geotab security strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly across all of our public sector programs/projects and products, and contribute to the development of new secure architecture governance structures, methodologies and compliance guidelines
- Ability to work across multiple projects with varied stakeholders. Setting architectural direction, you’ll build consensus, mediate conflicts providing technical leadership and advisory services to the business.
- Recognizing and following emerging technologies, understanding how to apply/deploy in a secure and compliant manner and drive adoption across the organization
- Comfortable leading compliance related discussions around system architectures, and impact of changes on security control requirements.
What you’ll bring to this role:
- 10+ years overall experience in information technology/security .
- 5-7 years experience in secure design & architecture for cloud-based environments, either specifically in Gov compliance (ex:FedRAMP), or NIST 800-53
- Expert-level knowledge of Cloud Computing (GCP knowledge preferred). Experienced with SaaS, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and related terminology, in particular as it relates to Information Security.
- Subject Matter Expertise in Security Compliance Frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST 800-53 and in particular FedRAMP.
- Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Self-motivated and able to work in an independent manner
- Able to own and maintain overall system architecture diagrams and author related content/reports/attestations.
- Exceptional organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, remote environment.
- Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions.
- A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
