About the role:
What you'll do:
- Develop and execute test procedures and test plans to thoroughly validate the performance of existing and new vehicle systems across the evolving operational domain, including maintaining traceability between requirements, test cases, and results.
- Troubleshoot, triage, and provide diagnostic support for field issues related to the vehicle control system.
- Develop modular test scripts to automate test data collection and analysis, including improving and maintaining test infrastructure to ensure automated CI tests run quickly and reliably.
- Ensure seamless integration of controllers and actuators with the vehicle and AV.
- Create test scripts to automate manual testing processes and streamline overall design and performance verification testing, including issuing detailed JIRA tickets against existing test frameworks and tools to address bugs and pain points.
- Work with others on the engineering and testing teams to define new feature development and to establish release metrics and gating.
- Deliver impactful solutions that improve Gatik’s ability to predict on-road performance and raise the bar on test coverage, test effectiveness, and safety.
- Integrate and deploy software updates at a system and subsystem (component) level with a goal to drive a culture of safety first across all aspects of the role.
- Responsible for writing test cases and executing systems integration tests at different abstraction levels of the system such as Hardware in Loop (HiL), Vehicle in Loop (ViL).
- Build, implement, and run test benches with proprietary or industry-standard tools to evaluate, document and identify problems with hardware-software integration.
- Lead and drive debugging of the HW/SW issues to closure. Identify and work with key cross- functional partners to root cause and provide resolution
What we're looking for:
- 2 years of experience using automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN and Automotive Ethernet.
- 2 years of experience in writing test cases and developing traceability using Jama, Confluence, or JIRA.
- 2 years of experience with ROS or similar common robotics tools and libraries.
- 2 years of experience with coding in Python/C++.
- 2 years of experience with designing and deploying test setups on the bench, HiL, and/or the vehicle
- 2 years of experience with testing methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging.
- 2 years of experience using software project management software, including CPU and GPU architectures, containers, and numerical libraries
