Description

The Solutions Engineer is responsible for the successful handoff and end-to-end implementation of new and existing clients on the Stax platforms. In your role you’ll work hand-in-hand with our clients, taking the vision for a payments integration from concept to reality. In addition to architecting a comprehensive integration, you’ll guide the Partner throughout development, often working in tandem with the Implementation team to merge business objectives with the feature-functionality necessary to execute a winning payments strategy.

Your advice and guidance will aid in maximizing opportunities to accelerate revenue generated from our clients, building upon the foundations of the relationship before transitioning for long-term care. In addition to the end-to-end coordination and planning of the integration, you’ll work in a cross-functional capacity with Product to ensure enhancements critical to the long-term success of the product are recognized and thoroughly communicated. You’ll manage an integration pipeline, setting clear expectations for deliverables, deadlines, and party responsibilities. Your ability to deliver successful implementations from contract signature to go-live will be essential to Partner profitability and the integrity and brand reputation of Stax.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales and onboarding lifecycle, providing architecture guidance, integration strategies, and scalable API-based solutions aligned with client goals.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations, technical deep-dives, and proofs-of-concept that clearly communicate the value and flexibility of our API offerings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Implementation teams to ensure a seamless transition from presales to post-sale onboarding and long-term success.
  • Design and execute implementation plans, guide clients on best practices, and support feature adoption to drive both immediate and iterative success in payments integrations.
  • Evaluate and certify client integrations for production readiness, and troubleshoot technical issues by analyzing API calls, logs, and database queries.
  • Gather customer feedback to influence product roadmap decisions and contribute to technical enablement content such as reference architectures and integration guides.

Requirements
  • Background in payments or FinTech
  • 1+ years of experience working with APIs in a technical role (e.g., support, implementation, QA, or dev onboarding)
  • Strong communication skills with prior customer-facing experience
  • Proficient in testing and troubleshooting RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or cURL
  • Familiarity with authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth), webhooks, and JSON payloads
  • Basic SQL skills and comfort working with structured data
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks across clients
  • Strong writing skills, with a passion for clear documentation and technical clarity
