Senior Product Designer - Mobile App
Fullscript
Product, Design
Toronto, ON, Canada
CAD 120k-150k / year
The Role
Fullscript is looking for a Senior Product Designer (Mobile App), to help shape the future of our patient experience, with a primary focus on our mobile app (iOS & Android).
This role sits at the center of the patient experience, focused on the commerce moments that matter most: ordering, refills, subscriptions, account management, and overall app look and feel. These experiences need to feel fast, intuitive, trustworthy, and polished, on par with the best consumer products patients use every day.
But this is not a traditional e-commerce role. At Fullscript, commerce is closely connected to care. Patients may be following provider recommendations, managing routines, or refilling products they rely on. The right designer will bring strong commerce instincts while keeping that care context in mind.
You’ll partner closely with Product and Engineering to define, design, and ship patient experiences end-to-end, primarily in the mobile app and occasionally across the web platform. You can be empowered to find opportunities or problems and jump right in to fix them. We trust our teams to use their expertise to continually raise the bar of our product and act like an owner.
⚠️ A portfolio is required to be considered for this role.
What You'll Do
- Define, design, and ship patient experiences end-to-end, primarily for the mobile app (iOS & Android) and occasionally across the web platform.
- Prototype rapidly using Figma, code, AI tools, or whatever best communicates the idea.
- Own and collaborate on craft in your area including visual quality, interaction thinking, edge cases, and production polish.
- Show deep ownership of your work after design handoff: review builds, test flows, catch quality issues, and partner with Engineering through QA to make sure the shipped experience meets the bar.
- Design commerce experiences across all aspects of ordering: refills, subscriptions, account/order management, and more.
- Set a high bar for information architecture, mobile-specific needs and best practices, beautiful design that can scale into edge cases
- Collaborate tightly with Product and Engineering from exploration through production, not just at handoff. This will be a highly collaborative role.
- Talk with providers and patients to ground your work in real user needs, then translate those insights into design decisions that support product strategy and business outcomes.
- Help contribute to app adoption success through everything from how we make it attractive to download in the app store to growth and positioning work
What You Bring
- 5+ years of product design experience and a portfolio of real, shipped work.
- Experience designing polished, consumer-facing mobile app experiences, ideally in the e-commerce space.
- Strong design opinions, held loosely.
- Excellent product taste and the ability to move between strategy, systems thinking, and pixel-perfect execution.
- Proactive in using AI tools to improve the quality and speed of your design workflow, with clear examples of how you’ve applied them in practice.
- Deep care for user experience beyond visuals: speed, reliability, responsiveness, accessibility, and cross-device quality.
- Experience defining and owning projects and requirements, identifying opportunities to raise the bar
- A bias toward building, testing, learning, and shipping (we operate with an experimental mindset).
Bonus if you have
- Experience designing mobile apps in the healthcare space.
- Background in healthcare, diagnostics, clinical products, wellness, or regulated consumer experiences.
- Public design artifacts: side projects, prototypes, open-source contributions, posts, or experiments.
