- Editorial Ownership & Final Review - Act as the final editor for patient and practitioner-facing educational content, ensuring it is clear, clinically accurate, well-cited, and stylistically consistent.
- Apply advanced technical editing skills to content across formats—articles, clinical protocols, scripts, and more.
- Uphold standards across both editorial and clinical style guides, ensuring alignment with brand voice, tone, and medical standards.
- Content Standards & Governance - Own and evolve editorial policies, medical review workflows, legal compliance processes, and publishing checklists.
- Create documentation and tools that support consistent quality across internal and freelance contributors.
- Establish scalable protocols for sourcing, reviewing, and distributing written and multimedia content.
- Content Operations Leadership - Lead a cross-functional content production team, including program managers, writers, copy editors, and media producers.
- Maintain and improve workflows, tooling, and documentation to ensure on-time, high-quality content delivery.
- Manage intake, prioritization, and triage of content and education requests from across the business.
- Cross-functional Collaboration - Partner with:
- Product Manager to align on LMS strategy, content prioritization, and user signals.
- UX Designers to contribute to content hierarchy and LMS experience.
- Product Marketing Managers to coordinate content cadence and platform engagement strategy.
- Legal reviewers to ensure all content meets Fullscript’s compliance and quality standards.
- Content Platform Migration - Lead editorial curation and migration of legacy and new content to the new LMS.
- Optimize tagging, taxonomy, and discoverability of content to support a streamlined learner experience.
- People & Vendor Management - Manage direct reports across editorial and content operations.
- Oversee vendor and contractor relationships for medical writing, copyediting, design, and production.
- Administer budgets, contract scope, and resource planning.
What You Bring:
- 6+ years in editorial or content leadership, with experience in technical or medical editing.
- Strong experience in applying editorial standards, managing style guides, and working with legal or regulated content.
- Demonstrated ability to act as final editor and editorial lead on clinical or technical materials.
- Familiarity with clinical terminology, citations, and evidence-informed writing—a background in health or science is a plus.
- Proven success in building and managing high-performing editorial teams and workflows.
- Comfortable collaborating across product, design, and legal teams.
- Proficient in project management and content operations tools (Asana, Airtable, etc.).
- Experience leading content projects on or for learning management systems or educational platforms is an asset.
