Role Overview
Fulfil's engineering team develops next-generation technologies that change how millions of customer orders are fulfilled by merchants. Our products need to handle information at a massive scale and as an ERP, we deal with substantial complexity in shipping a great product. To help us on our journey, we are seeking a proactive and highly organized Technical Project Manager.
Working closely with our CEO, your primary focus will be to manage projects critical to the long term success of engineering organization. You will focus on maintaining proactive processes, tracking key metrics, and fostering collaboration across teams, allowing leadership to concentrate on strategic decision-making; in short, you'll be the glue that keeps engineering going, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
This role involves working closely with engineering teams, customer-facing stakeholders, and designers to ensure smooth workflows and operational excellence. Join our international and diverse team as we continue to thrive in North America and expand our organic growth in Europe.
What You'll Do
Conduct regular engineering check-ins to maintain alignment and surface key updates
Facilitate iteration planning, ensuring timely delivery and effective coordination
Collaborate with stakeholders, including customer-facing teams and designers, to maintain smooth workflows
Track and analyze metrics such as open PRs, infra spend, highest number of reviews, and iteration completion percentage
Summarize and surface data trends to improve engineering discipline and team performance
Highlight lessons from past iterations (e.g., over-planning, under-planning, and story quality)
Coordinate release testing to ensure feedback is addressed prior to deployment
Organize and lead engineering team rituals, including standups, retrospectives, and check-ins
Assist in planning engineering meetups and virtual activities to foster team engagement
Act as the first point of contact for customer-facing teams, reducing direct interruptions to engineers
Surface data trends and share insights on team-level and individual-level performance for leadership review
Job requirements
Required Qualifications
5+ years of exclusive experience in project management
Experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments such as start-ups or scale-ups
Proven track record of managing technology-driven projects, including end-to-end execution and collaboration with engineering and customer-facing teams
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
Hands-on experience with ShortCut, Jira, or related engineering tooling
Proficiency in process documentation and deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Exceptional organizing, planning, and administration skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mediate, influence, and convey complex ideas effectively
Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
We need someone who can work in IST while also being available for discussions in the EST time zone as required.
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Prior experience as a software engineer, ideally in a backend Python tech stack
Certifications such as PMP, or equivalent
Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, Backend development, DevOps practices, etc.
