Revenue Growth Specialist

Fraction is one of Canada’s newest mortgage lenders with possibly the most unique mortgage offering on the market today: we enable homeowners to put their mortgage payments on pause for up to five years.

We are seeking a Revenue Growth Specialist on-site in Vancouver to grow our top-line and improve our operations. Most of our business comes through mortgage brokers, so you will probably be focusing on how to drive more business from that market segment. Achieving that objective is left intentionally vague—your responsibilities will be primarily defined by the ideas you have and execute upon. Here are some examples of what we imagine some initiatives you might take on look like:

Responsibilities

  • Running a social media game: We suck at social, please make us better. We are talking TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn (unfortunately that’s where many mortgage brokers are found) and X. You can run some ads, but your ad budget would be fairly limited, so you’d have to have some specific objectives in mind for a campaign.
  • Improving conversion of our pipeline: We have the data on how many mortgages get funded through our pipeline, it will be up to you to figure out why mortgage applications drop out of the funnel and how to make it less leaky. Then, working with our sales and ops team, you’d actually go in and improve that process: this won’t be just dictating better processes but getting involved in how everything works, too. You’ll likely be sending emails and jumping on calls with mortgage brokers from time-to-time to get a better sense of how everything works from the horse’s mouth.
  • Making aesthetically-pleasing marketing and sales collateral: You don’t have to be a designer, but you have to be able to make not-horrible-looking slide decks, marketing brochures, website landing pages, etc. We can help provide the copy, although you should be able to sprinkle some improvements throughout.
  • We want someone who can come up with way more ideas than we’ve enumerated above. If you want a well-defined role, this is definitely not the position for you.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, high-agency: We are looking for people who are willing to fix whatever is broken whenever people find working with Fraction is harder than it should be. When part of Fraction isn’t good, it should bother you.
  • Know how to build things: We already mentioned slide decks and sales collateral. You should probably also know how to throw together a quick landing page to test new marketing ideas. It’s cool if you use something like Webflow, Squarespace, etc. We aren’t looking for an engineer, but you need to be able to use technology effectively.
  • Excellent communicator: You will be expected to write content about Fraction and respond to questions from people who sometimes may be confused or unhelpful. You should then be able to think about how we can improve our existing materials and processes so that, in the future, people are less confused.

Benefits

  • Location: We have our own office in Gastown in downtown Vancouver. You’ll be expected to come into the office most days—this is a highly collaborative role. You’ll be working closely with our ops team and our sales team, and reporting directly to the CEO, who will be sitting in the same room as you.
  • Healthcare: We offer a benefits package with pharmaceutical, vision, dental, etc.
  • Time Off: Fraction has an unlimited vacation policy. As long as you are hitting your objectives, you have lots of flexibility in how and when you take time off.
  • Modern Equipment: You will be provided with a new MacBook, a dedicated standing desk with external monitor and other peripherals you might need, and as much coffee as your heart desires.
