Company Overview

Forcen develops a digital sense of touch for high reliability robotics in surgery and advanced automation. The technology behind this is the company’s force-sensing film technology (ForceFilm) that can be laminated onto any structure to indirectly sense the forces applied to the structure. ForceFilm is precise and compact enough for surgery, robust enough for manufacturing, and light enough for aerospace. This digital sense of touch provides immediate use in human teleoperation and complex automation as well as for the development of future semi/fully autonomous systems.

Description

The Manufacturing Automation Developer will act as the link between manufacturing and designers from an electrical and software background to enable mass production of our components as well as the full sensing systems. The candidate will develop and implement innovative automation routines, lead the design of new manufacturing fixtures for PCBAs and deal with contract manufacturers. This will be fast-paced and require the development of innovative automation solutions to enable the first truly efficient manufacturing of force sensing systems.
The successful candidate will have prior experience dealing with contract manufacturers, a keen eye to identify automation opportunities and decent software scripting background to implement solutions for them.
