Flipp’s Shopper Consideration Platform allows retailers and manufacturers to create digital experiences from their savings & deals content. These experiences help Shoppers decide what to buy and where to buy it. Flipp then connects those retailer and manufacturer experiences to millions of shoppers through Flipp’s owned and operated channels.

We are looking for a Software Engineer II to work within an engineering team to design and develop features, fix bugs, review code, and write and design automated tests for one or more of Flipp’s systems in order to provide business value to the company. You will provide technical leadership to the team and guide the team in making technical decisions and developing solutions. You'll guide the design of large projects for the team, and across multiple engineering teams, provide mentorship for all developers to help grow the technical capabilities of the team, and contribute to larger technical initiatives across the engineering organization, not just within your own team.

What you'll get the opportunity to do:

• Contribute to the team’s technical roadmap with ideas generated through practical development of the code in their area of expertise
• Plan and estimate effort for bug fixes and features
• Develop new features and improvements
• Address performance issues with production code
• Fix bugs and refactor code to improve Flipp internal and open source packages
• Modularize and abstract code to make it more reusable
• Contribute to the design of software systems and services
• Break down large features into more manageable tasks that can be distributed to multiple members of the team
• Design and write automated unit test cases
• Design and write integration tests
• Perform code reviews and providing constructive feedback for other team members

Technologies you'll use:

• Frontend: HTML/CSS, Typescript with a React framework, Rollup
• Backend: Go Lang, Docker
• Testing: Sonarqube and Playwright

What you'll bring to the team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• 2-5 years of Full-Stack development experience with a strong emphasis on Front End
• Proficiency in Typescript, HTML/CSS, React framework. Go lang on the backend
• 2-5 years of experience with relational databases or other data storage mechanism
• Track record of shipping quality code and delivering high quality features
• High growth expectations for yourself and your team, and a willingness to push yourself and your team to achieve them
