We’re looking for our next Head of Marketing - Questbank. Could It Be You?

The Head of Marketing is a critical strategic leadership role at Questbank responsible for the end-to-end vision, strategic planning, and performance of all Business-to-Business (B2B) marketing programs.

The Head of Marketing will serve as the commercial champion for Questbank's non-retail ecosystem. The primary mandate is to define and execute comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) and growth strategies tailored exclusively to third-party distribution channels, corporate partners, and intermediary networks (including mortgage brokers, advisors).

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to grow Questbank's brand awareness and customer acquisition and retention, aligned with QFG's mission, vision, and values.
  • Manage Questbank’s budget effectively, allocating resources strategically to optimize ROI and maximize campaign impact.
  • Synthesize competitive market intelligence, industry trends, and deep partner insights to define distinct, high-impact value propositions that differentiate Questbank’s business lending and wholesale deposit offerings from traditional financial institutions.
  • Build, deploy, and govern comprehensive marketing, communication, and event strategies tailored to maximize acquisition and engagement across third-party distribution networks (such as mortgage brokerages and financial advisor hubs).
  • Analyze marketing campaign performance using data-driven insights, continuously refining strategies based on results and customer feedback.
  • Oversee the brand positioning and go-to-market rollout of B2B digital platforms, partner communication portals, and specialized software tools to ensure high broker sentiment, onboarding efficiency, and portfolio volume growth.
  • Lead the lifecycle marketing, promotional messaging, and promotional inventory strategies for corporate client retention initiatives and premium partner recognition frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operating Officer to align marketing strategies with the Questbank’s overall business objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Lead internal documentation reviews, ensuring all business-to-business collateral and external digital channels fully comply with OSFI requirements, Canadian banking legislation, and corporate brand guidelines in close coordination with Legal and Risk teams.
  • Lead the adoption of advanced marketing automation architectures and data tools to monitor structural business funnels, executing rigorous funnel optimizations and reporting on B2B return on investment (ROI) directly to executive stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to direct reports, promoting their growth and development.

  • Have a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Have experience and knowledge of the broker and/or retail financial services in banking and mortgage industries.
  • Have 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful B2C and B2B2C marketing strategies that have significantly contributed to business growth.
  • Have proven ability to set annual and quarterly plans and prioritize team projects and workload.
  • Have a strong understanding of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
  • Have exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Are proficient in analyzing data to derive actionable insights, leveraging data to inform decisions, optimizing campaigns, and demonstrating the impact of marketing initiatives on business outcomes.
  • Have deep expertise in multi-channel marketing, lead generation, and customer lifecycle management.
  • Have a solid understanding of the intricacies of the digital landscape and ability to seamlessly integrate various marketing channels to create cohesive, effective campaigns that resonate with target audiences
  • Have experience leading cross-functional agile teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies and multi-channel marketing programs.
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively articulate marketing strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Have exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of inspiring and managing high-performing teams and building strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Have a passion for innovation and a willingness to embrace new marketing approaches.
