We’re looking for our next Senior Analyst, Procurement & Vendor Management. Could It Be You?

The Senior Analyst, Procurement & Vendor Management, is an experienced professional who plays a pivotal and more strategic role in managing the organization's Procurement and Vendor Management activities across the entire vendor lifecycle. This position is responsible for both (i) leading and executing complex procurement processes, including negotiating new goods and services agreements, onboarding critical vendors, and managing strategic renewals; as well as (ii) overseeing vendor data integrity, driving advanced due diligence, developing comprehensive reporting, coordinating complex vendor reviews, and ensuring robust compliance with vendor management policies. The Senior Analyst will work closely with the Manager, Vendor Management, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive strategic value, efficiency, and transparency across the vendor lifecycle.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with and support a team of Procurement & Vendor Management Analysts to execute each stage of the vendor lifecycle including purchasing and sourcing of goods and services, vendor discovery and demo processes, agreement management, commercial negotiation, renewal, offboarding, and mid-term changes.

  • Support business teams in conducting RFPs, RFIs, and other vendor sourcing activities including proofs of concept and trials.

  • Facilitate the vendor tiering assessment process with requesters.

  • Facilitate the vendor due diligence process and engage subject matter experts to review and opine on responses to due diligence questionnaires.

  • Perform contract review and redlining in accordance with internally published contract negotiation playbooks.

  • Support lines of business and contract owners in vendor performance tracking and monitoring.

  • Maintain accurate vendor and contract records enabling a robust contract compliance program, including key date tracking, obligation tracking, SLA monitoring, etc.

  • Assist the lines of business in preparing for and conducting annual, quarterly or other business review meetings and processes with vendors.

  • Facilitate the purchasing process, including creating and managing purchase orders, as required.

  • Review quotes and prepare cost comparisons and analyses for requesters as part of negotiating commercial and contract terms and delivery schedules.

  • Work closely with the finance department to process invoices and research any accounting inquiries.

  • Coordinate meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders as required.

  • Identify and escalate third party potential or actual contract, performance or risk issues.

  • Work closely with the legal department to negotiate terms and conditions of and execute Master Service Agreements, EULAs, Statements of Work, Change orders and service requests, including coordination of documents between legal and vendor, obtaining internal feedback on contractual terms when required, execution of contracts both internal and external.

  • Work closely with the key stakeholders in various business entities to understand the project pipeline, product roadmap, and key initiatives to assess upcoming needs for new or current vendor services.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of Questrade Financial Group service offering, the relationships and dependency with vendors for existing business models and data flows in the business.

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of proven experience in a procurement or vendor management role, facilitating procurement, due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and lifecycle management in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated success in navigating a changing stakeholder landscape and delivering forward-looking Procurement and Vendor Management solutions to meet stakeholder needs.

  • Experience using third party risk management software, such as OneTrust, to conduct due diligence assessments and other activities.

  • Strong understanding of vendor risk, compliance, and performance metrics, with specialized knowledge of financial services compliance and risk factors as an asset.

  • Proficiency in implementing vendor lifecycle technologies and processes.

  • Strong knowledge and ability in both Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

  • Strong interest in AI as an enabling tool in the workplace and personal life.

Compensation Information:

  • Base salary range: $80,000 - $90,000
  • The final compensation package will be commensurated with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
