We’re looking for our next Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting. Could It Be You?
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting who excels at creating operational excellence through technical precision and team empowerment. This is a pivotal role designed for a strategic accountant who excels at managing complexity across multiple entities and thrives on elevating team performance.
You will lead the financial integrity of diverse business units, overseeing divisional controllers and taking ownership of intercompany reconciliations and related-party agreements. Your goal is to move beyond the traditional close—implementing AI-driven efficiencies and helping to build our controllership function into a high-value strategic asset to the organization.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Multi-Entity & Divisional Governance

Portfolio Oversight: Responsibility for the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close for a diverse portfolio of entities, ensuring total synchronization with corporate standards.

Divisional Leadership: Providing leadership and guidance to divisional controllers, ensuring consistency in accounting policy application and financial reporting.

Audit Ownership: Serving as the primary lead for entity-specific audits, managing the timely delivery of all requirements for external auditors.
Related Party & Intercompany Ecosystem

Intercompany Architecture: Overseeing the related-party process, including the execution of intercompany agreements and transferring pricing chargebacks.

Structural Integrity: Ensuring all intercompany reconciliations are pristine and that underlying agreements are properly documented and reflected in the financial statements.
Technical SME & Team Mentorship

Technical Lead: Acting as the final internal authority on Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting, providing technical memos and guidance as needed.

Talent Development: Serving as a technical mentor for a talented accounting team. Supporting the team through structured coaching and review.
Transformation & Future-Proofing

Efficiency Engineering: Proactively identifying "friction points" in the close cycle and implementing process optimizations to compress the month-end timeline.

AI & Digital Adoption: In collaboration with the Director of Finance, serving as the internal champion for AI adoption, leveraging automation to migrate the team from manual data entry to high-value analysis.

Hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation

Have 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant time in Corporate Controllership or Public Accounting

Have strong working knowledge of Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, and complex Intercompany transactions
-
Have a proven track record of lifting a team - you are a stabilizer who remains calm under pressure and leads with empathy and clarity

Are a proactive problem solver with keen attention to detail, and excellent organization and time management skills

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to various stakeholders clearly

Compensation Information:

Base salary range: $135,000 - $150,000
-
The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
