We’re looking for our next Product Manager, User Onboarding & Activation. Could It Be You?

Known as the "Architect of the First Mile," you own the most critical user acquisition, onboarding, and activation. Your mandate is "Zero to One": bridging the gap between a user downloading the app and becoming a loyal, funded customer. You are obsessed with "Time to First Value" and reducing every millisecond of friction in the onboarding journey.

Need more details? Keep reading…

  • You are the Architect of the First Mile. You obsess over the user’s first 30 days. You understand that every millisecond of friction during sign-up costs us users, and you relentlessly optimize the flow from "Download" to "Verified."

  • You treat the Card as the Key. You know that card isn't just a piece of plastic – it’s the activation lever. You design the physical and virtual card issuance experience to be the "Aha moment" that compels the first funding.

  • You are Time-to-Value obsessive. You don't just measure "sign-ups"; you measure "Time to First Swipe" and "Time to First Deposit." Your goal is to shorten the gap between a user creating an account and getting value from it.

  • You master the Happy Path. You have expertise in identity verification (KYC) and the fraud checks, but know how to hide that complexity behind a beautiful, seamless UX so the user never feels the burden of compliance.

  • You build Sticky Habit Loops. You understand habit formation. You use progress bars, gamified checklists, and instant rewards to push users through the activation funnel.

  • Bridge Marketing and Product. You work closely with the acquisition team to ensure that the promise we make in ads matches the reality of the onboarding experience, reducing drop-off and regret.

Hard Skills

  • Product Sense & Design:

    • Business & Financial Acumen: A deep interest in personal finance and the ability to understand business dynamics, and connect product data with business metrics and outcomes.

    • Market & User Research: Experience leading qualitative and quantitative research to deeply understand client needs, identify unmet needs, validate solutions, and stay on top of market and competitor trends.

    • User-Centric: Balancing business goals with solving real user problems and delivering tangible value. A discerning taste for what constitutes a great user experience and the ability to turn complex problems into simple, intuitive product experiences by applying design thinking and collaborating with the design team.

    • Technical Fluency: Sufficient "technical know-how" to discuss architecture, technical considerations, and trade-offs with engineers, and understand how design, product, and engineering work together effectively.

    • Agile Execution: Knowledge of the full product development lifecycle (Scrum/Agile) to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure iterative delivery of products.

  • Analytical & Strategy: Mastery of using quantitative and qualitative data to derive meaningful insights, define metrics, track performance, and inform prioritization and decision-making. Ability to leverage data to present product opportunities and get stakeholders and leadership buy-in.

  • Execution & Stakeholder Management: A track record of launching financial products and managing expectations and communication with stakeholders.

Soft Skills

  • Strong Bias for Action: We value speed and momentum over perfection.

  • Ownership & Impact Mindset: Our PM owns both the end-to-end business outcome and the user experience of their products.

  • Adaptability: Thriving in ambiguity, learning quickly, and pivoting as needed in a fast-changing field.

  • Collaborative Mindset & Candor: Radical candour is our default. We debate ideas, not people.

  • Innovation & Competitive Mindset: Willingness to rethink how a bank should work, not just how it has worked. We are here to win the Canadian market and deliver value to our customers.

So are YOU our next Product Manager, User Onboarding & Activation? You are if you…
