We’re looking for our next Senior Product Manager, Residential Lending. Could It Be You?

The Senior Product Manager acts as the strategic "General Manager" for Questrade’s core secured lending portfolio. In this pivotal leadership role, you will hold accountability for the end-to-end product lifecycle of our residential mortgage suite, balancing the dual mandate of optimizing high-volume portfolios while architecting complex new lending products. Beyond strategy, you will act as a "player-coach," providing mentorship to agile teams and navigating a complex matrix of stakeholders—including Risk, Legal, and Operations—to ensure lending solutions are compliant, scalable, and operationally sound.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Strategic Ownership & Lifecycle Management:

• Own the full product lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap definition to delivery and operational readiness.

• Accountable for the P&L, ensuring products are profitable, compliant, and operationally scalable.

• Define and manage the residential product roadmap, prioritizing features based on market needs, business value, and strategic objectives.

Agile Leadership & Orchestration:

• Lead and mentor cross-functional agile development teams, ensuring adherence to agile best practices and managing dependencies to meet the "Definition of Done".

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering, design, risk, and operations to define scope and priorities, bridging commercial goals with technical execution.

Performance, Risk & Optimization:

• Monitor product performance metrics, funnel conversion, and user adoption, reporting updates to executive stakeholders.

• Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks in the highly regulated mortgage environment.

• Contribute towards the Product Centre of Excellence toolkits to raise the bar for product management practices.

So are YOU our next Senior Product Manager, Residential Lending? You are if you…

• Have 7+ years of experience in product management or product leadership within the financial services industry.

• Have 3+ years of direct experience delivering solutions specifically within the mortgage or secured lending domain.

• Have proven experience leading Agile teams and implementing Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).

• Have a bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Have experience managing a P&L and crafting business cases for complex financial products.

• Have demonstrated the ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing agile teams without direct reporting lines.

• Have a strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and modern technology stacks relevant to lending (e.g., LOS/LMS, core banking platforms, APIs).

• Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

• Are able to work effectively with stakeholders across different departments (Risk, Legal, Ops, Engineering).

• Have superior verbal and written skills, capable of articulating complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
