We’re looking for our next Social Media Strategy Manager. Could It Be You?

The purpose of the Social Media Strategy Manager role is to build and lead Questrade's organic social media engine from the ground up. This role will develop and execute the strategy to align our brand's digital footprint with our market leadership, establish Questrade as the authoritative voice for financial empowerment in Canada, and launch the new social presence for QuestMedia.

As the Social Media Strategy Manager, you will be the driving force behind our organic social media presence, playing a critical role in increasing brand awareness, driving customer engagement, and ultimately supporting new customer acquisition across all business lines. You are not just a content poster; you are a strategic leader, content creator, and future team builder – a "player-coach" who will be responsible for setting the foundational strategy, launching content, and establishing the KPIs for all Questrade and QuestMedia social channels. You will own the long-term vision and daily execution of our organic social strategy, ensuring our content is informative, engaging, and compliant within the financial services industry.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Full Channel Audit: Deep dive into all existing channels.
  • Competitor Analysis: Benchmark against all Canadian Fintechs and banks.
  • Voice & Content Strategy: Define content pillars for both Questrade (brand, community, support) and QuestMedia (education, insights) channels.
  • QuestMedia Launch Plan: Develop and execute the 0-to-1 launch strategy for QuestMedia's new social accounts.
  • Content Calendar: Establish a consistent posting cadence for all managed accounts.
  • KPI & Reporting Framework: Set the initial benchmarks for success.

So are YOU our next Social Media Strategy Manager? You are if you…

  • Have a "player-coach" profile with 5+ years of experience, ideally in fintech or a high-growth brand
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Are a strategic leader; proven success in developing and executing organic social media strategies that drive significant engagement and brand growth
  • Are a strong writer, strategist, and capable of basic content creation (e.g. text graphics, simple video edits) to launch a strategy
  • Have a deep understanding of social media analytics tools and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Have strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Have a strategic and creative mindset with strong attention to detail
