We’re looking for our next Product Management Lead. Could It Be You?
The Product Management Lead will be responsible for managing the product road map for Questrade’s digital mortgage business. The incumbent will be responsible for defining the product roadmap, managing key vendor relationships and ensuring identified product initiatives support both the line of business and enterprise business goals. This will be achieved through superior product design, strategy, influence and leveraging relationships across the business.
The Project Manager will play an important role in developing a vision for the prime residential lending product, and crafting a strategy that will utilize both tactical and strategic levers to bring new ideas and efficiency to this business line. Working closely with the Sales and Operations teams, the incumbent will focus on system development and product management on both technology and process efficiency projects that support business growth and brings new technology tools to the DTC channel, increasing operational efficiency and improving client experience.

Product Management: Executing the product roadmap through ruthless prioritization and leading cross-functional teams through key projects ensuring sound business practices are adhered to. You will act as an SME to cross-functional team members across Marketing, Technology, Operations, Training and Legal, Risk and Compliance.

Product Development Strategies and Roadmap: In conjunction with the business, determine profitability, pricing, product life cycle, distribution channels, positioning, and promotion strategy for prime mortgages. Ideate, design, develop, implement and manage the expansion of the prime mortgage product set and ancillary solutions. Accountable for the continual usage and adoption of products and for providing recommendations on process enhancements and products that enhance our offering.

Vendor Management: As the product manager, work closely with vendor management to onboard and maintain key vendor relationships that support the prime mortgage business across sales, technology and operations.

Customer Experience: Represent the needs of our clients and develop/deliver an integrated experience that exceeds their expectations and meets Questrade standards. Collaborate with internal colleagues to develop business requirements/user stories, and client journey roadmaps. Collaborate effectively with complementing product owners to ensure appropriate value add services are woven into the target customer experience.

Risk Management: Ensure products and on-going business processes align to internal Policy and Procedure guidelines and deliver a client and team member experience that enables quality business performance.

Industry Knowledge: Perform on-going external competitive analysis and market segment analysis. Continually maintain a complete understanding of the Financial Services landscape as it relates to threats and opportunities for existing and future mortgage products.

3-5 years’ experience in a product management, or business analysis focused role (or other relevant experience)

Post-secondary education (preferably in Business or Computer Science)

Knowledge of the Mortgage Lending space

Strong understanding of Direct to Consumer sales channels

Knowledge of and experience in delivering product and program improvements within Agile frameworks

Comfortable with creating business cases and presenting them to executive teams

Strong project management skills and are able to both lead and execute when the time is needed

Experience cultivating strategic partnerships to accelerate growth for the business

Appreciation for connecting with a consumer in the digital age however understand the journey to gradually take customers with you through new digital solutions
