We’re looking for our next Manager Growth Media Planning. Could It Be You?

The Manager, Growth Media Planning is a strategic thinker responsible for developing full-funnel media campaigns which drive new customer acquisition. This role owns the development of holistic growth plans, determining the optimal channel mix, and preparing thorough briefs to guide our channel activation teams. The ideal candidate is an expert on leading meaningful cross-channel projects, possesses strong data literacy to identify trends, is well-versed with marketing effectiveness practices, and has hands-on media activation experience to ensure strategic plans are both ambitious and executed with precision.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Strategic Media Planning:

  • Develop holistic, integrated media strategies and tactical plans across all channels, determining the optimal channel and campaign mix to achieve strategic business goals (CPL, CPA, ROAS)

  • Champion the adoption of marketing effectiveness research and principles, data-driven planning, and best practice media activation to ensure media is contributing to incremental acquisition outcomes

  • Synthesize the product roadmap, competitive landscape, category dynamics and seasonality to strategically flight investment weight, mix, and messaging throughout the year.

  • Develop effective models for forecasting acquisition outcomes to ensure performance targets are set ambitiously and delivered

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Management:

  • Prepare and deliver thorough, insightful briefs for channel activation teams, and ensure individual channel plans are aligned with the overall strategic vision, and optimized for effectiveness

  • Serve as a key strategic partner to stakeholders and collaborators including web teams, SEO, marketing strategy, analytics, product, business leadership, and external partners (agencies, vendors, etc)

  • Lead the day-to-day management and support for cross-channel projects and documents (e.g., Budget Control Reports, Blocking Charts, MMM inputs, Forecasting).

  • Establish and propose campaign requirements for functions outside of media, including landing page needs, creative specifications, and analytics tracking.

Growth & Innovation:

  • Identify, research, and build plans for new channels, partners, and audience segments to expand volume and efficiency.

  • Develop comprehensive POVs, opportunity sizing, and forecasts for new growth initiatives.

Performance Analysis & Reporting:

  • Report on and monitor higher-order KPIs and leading/lagging indicators (e.g., CPL, CPA, ROAS, Brand Tracking Scores, Brand Search Interest).

  • Leverage strong data literacy to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights from campaign performance and market data.

  • Work with media channels teams to ensure insights ladder up to actionable acquisition opportunities and optimizations

  • Have 6-8 years of experience developing strategic, holistic media plans that integrate multiple channels to drive growth in new customer acquisition

  • Have a strong data literacy with a demonstrated ability to identify trends and synthesize insights from various data sources into actionable opportunities

  • Have hands-on platform activation experience with channels such as Paid Search, Paid Social or Programmatic, in order to effectively plan tactical executions

  • Have experience managing complex, cross-functional marketing projects and artifacts (e.g., budget trackers, forecasts, spec sheets)

  • Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to write and present clear, compelling briefs, strategic and tactical plan presentations, and align various stakeholders

  • Have a deep understanding of how to use competitive intelligence, seasonality, and product roadmaps to inform media strategy

  • Have the fundamental knowledge and practitioner skills in marketing and media effectiveness (reach planning, designing testing agendas, attribution methods, etc)

  • Are familiar with brand health metrics (e.g., brand score tracking, brand search interest, social media mention volume)

  • Have the experience in leveraging industry tools and research platforms (Vividata, E-Marketer, and more)

Additional kudos if you…

  • Have experience with Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and other advanced measurement methodologies.

  • Have experience working as a partner to strategy and go-to-market teams
