We’re looking for our next Director, Risk Data, Initiatives & Systems. Could It Be You?

The Director will have critical responsibilities to lead strategic projects from a risk perspective with special emphasis on risk data infrastructure and systems. The incumbent will work with the Journey and the Product to define the roadmap for risk systems, implement the roadmap and manage the risk models, strategy within the system. This role will serve as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) from Risk to define the risk system requirements for a new bank and banking products. The incumbent will be required to have a strategic vision of the risk systems and data infrastructure in a run state bank with multi-product LOBs. The Director will lead and manage many initiatives working with cross functional teams e.g., Journey, Products, Marketing, Technologies, Compliance, and other Risk teams.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Strategic Vision:

  • Defining risk system requirements for end to end risk management for lending products.

  • Identifying and managing various vendors provided solutions and onboard them.

  • Defining integration plans for various systems.

  • Clearly defining Risk Data strategy and working with Technologies to execute on them.

  • Creating and managing a state of the art end to end risk system for adjudication, authorization, and account management for lending products.

  • Setting standards and processes for data governance, accuracy and completeness.

Infrastructure and Data:

  • Deploying the infrastructure for new product launch in a timely manner.

  • Optimizing orchestration of vendor solutions with a strong emphasis on cost reduction without compromising on the ability to minimize credit, fraud and other risks.

  • Defining and designing the Data strategy for production usage and offline analytical needs.

  • Understanding business needs to architect the risk systems for flawless execution of the product plan with equal emphasis on meeting the risk standards.

Project Management:

  • Managing projects with long timelines and multiple stakeholders.

  • Collaborating with Journey teams to manage projects beyond risk impacts.

  • Managing contracts with multiple vendors with a strong discipline on costs avoiding budget run over.

Leadership:

  • Providing regular updates to senior executives on progress and challenges.

  • Defining achievable milestones for long projects to ensure high morale amongst immediate and collaborative teams

  • Developing in house expertise to manage the onboarded systems for self reliance and cost reductions.

  • Hold a degree in computer science or software engineering with a business degree

  • Have 10+ years of experience in managing credit systems and / or credit strategy

  • Have experience with Tsys or HPS

  • Have experience with an established adjudication and transaction modeling system

  • Have experience with Fraud related systems

  • Have demonstrated an ability to lead complex projects

  • Have equal in-depth understanding of risk systems e.g., credit adjudication, transaction authorization, collection, frauds, and risk strategy

  • Have experience with managing credit adjudication system

  • Have a thorough understanding of how credit modeling and credit strategy works

  • Are proactive, agile with a start-up mindset to move quickly

  • Have experience of managing credit systems

  • Are team oriented and persuasive with a collaborative mindset
