We’re looking for a highly skilled Staff Content Designer to join our team, focusing on Questrade's Investing product line. This role will involve contributing to a wide range of products, from marketing websites to day-to-day trading platforms, ensuring content is clear, consistent, and aligned with the overall user experience. The Role is Expected to Do:
- AI-Assisted Content Design: Collaborate with AI engineers to train and fine-tune AI models that assist in content creation, empowering the design team with tools to generate content more efficiently. While AI will assist, you will remain responsible for shaping and designing the content for key areas, ensuring it aligns with the overall user experience and business goals.
Design Thinking: Distinguish between professional writing and content design by understanding the flow, logic, visual and motion. Ensure content fits seamlessly within the broader design strategy, supporting everything from marketing pages to trading interfaces.
UX Research Integration: Bring a strong background in user research to verify content strategies and microcopy before and after the product release. Using real user input to challenge and refine content design, ensuring it remains effective, relevant, and aligned with user needs.
Continuous Learning: Stay curious and actively seek knowledge from peers and other domain experts to expand your skill set and contribute to the team’s growth. You’ll remain engaged with the latest trends in content strategy, AI tools, and design best practices.

Who You Are:

AI-Savvy: You have experience working with AI tools to optimize content creation and understand how to integrate them effectively into the design process for both marketing and transactional products. You’re also comfortable training AI models to empower your team and improve content generation workflows.
Experienced Content Designer: With 7+ years of hands-on experience in content design, you have worked closely with product design teams to create intuitive, effective, and engaging content across various types of digital products. You’ve also launched products where AI-assisted design has been integrated into the content creation process, enhancing both efficiency and user experience.
UX Research-Focused: You’re experienced in conducting UX research on a regular basis to validate content strategies, microcopy, and user flows, using real user feedback to improve and refine your designs.
Collaborative Communicator: You excel in working alongside AI engineers, product designers, the design leadership team, and a variety of stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication on content objectives and design direction.
Curious and Growth-Oriented: You are passionate about learning and are constantly seeking new ways to improve your craft. You thrive in environments that encourage innovation and growth.
