At Flare, we are a mission-driven team, passionate about empowering companies to protect themselves against cybercrimes. Integrity, trust, and support for our people form the foundation of our culture, enabling everyone to thrive and bring their best selves to work. If you're driven to continuously learn and grow, care deeply about the impact of your work, and resonate with our mission, Flare might be the place for you.

We believe user delight is more than aesthetics. It's in the moments when someone is pleasantly surprised by how seamlessly a product fits into their daily life and realize how faster and more efficiently they can manage triage, investigate and remediate cyberthreats. We believe that moment is the start of truly remarkable design.

As a Senior UX Designer, you will have a direct impact on the company’s strategy ease of use, elevating the product’s experience as part of Flare’s continuous growth. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with development and product teams, to bring design operations initiatives to fruition.

A glimpse at your day-to-day:

  • Collaboration: You will be part of a cross-functional product team, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to integrate user insights at every stage of the concept development process.
  • Design Quality: You will champion user-centered design, ensuring it plays a central role in discovery and solution processes, ultimately helping to elevate the quality and consistency of our product.
  • User Research: You will lead user research in partnership with product managers and share your research synthesis with the team.
  • Continuous Prototype Iterations: You will develop discussion guides, initial concepts, and prototypes, bringing them to users for feedback and iteration — an essential part of building a great product.
  • Design System: You will assist the team in continually enhancing our component library and refining our design patterns throughout the application.
  • Continuous Improvements: will actively identify opportunities and assist in pinpointing the key areas that need attention.

Here is what will qualify you for the role:

  • User Research
    • You are a powerful advocate for users, skilled at uncovering and interpreting their needs through effective research methods, ensuring these insights are seamlessly reflected in the final product.
  • Experience over the Complete Product Life Cycle
    • With over five years of experience across the product life cycle—from defining problems to post-launch—you have collaborated closely with design, product, and engineering teams throughout every phase of the agile delivery process.
  • Storytelling skills
    • You have a portfolio - showing a good mix of various product design skills and professional maturity through detailed case studies.

What will make you stand out:

  • You have experience working within a design team and have been actively involved in collaborative design operations initiatives, including the development of a design system.
  • You have experience mentoring less experienced designers.
  • You navigate complex product environments in an autonomous manner.
  • You know how to balance design, business, product and engineering priorities
  • Your expertise in planning and executing team discovery, design and brainstorm workshops.
