Our Business

FISPAN Services Inc. (FISPAN) is an Enterprise SaaS FinTech company that allows banks to deploy embedded financial products and services to create a seamless banking connection for their corporate clients. Our product aims to provide instant scale and reach for banks who want to remove friction and add value by enabling their commercial banking clients to access banking services through their preferred ERP / accounting platform.

Founded in 2016 and headquartered in downtown Vancouver, FISPAN is on a mission to create the best product in the FinTech industry and fundamentally change the way that companies bank. Being the market leader in ERP Banking, we work with the world’s Tier 1 banks with assets exceeding $3T, including J.P. Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, TD and Bank of Montreal.

We are looking for dynamic and passionate individuals to join our high performance team and contribute to our rapid growth and exciting journey.

As a Technical Writer & Enablement Specialist, you will sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Customer Success. Your mission is to bridge the gap between complex financial technology and user understanding by creating high-quality, technically accurate, and visually engaging documentation. You will not only write the "how-to" guides but also leverage your design and technical skills to build a seamless documentation experience for our partners and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Documentation: Write and maintain high-quality API documentation, product training guides, and "How-To" articles for embedded banking tools.
  • Tool Management & Delivery: Utilize our suite of documentation tools (such as Archbee, Markdown, Confluence, or a dedicated CMS) to manage the review process and ensure the successful delivery of all customer-facing product documentation.
  • Jira & Project Management: Manage the documentation lifecycle for new product releases, utilizing project management tools (e.g. Jira) to track progress, manage documentation sprints, and ensure all enablement materials are synchronized with product development cycles.
  • Cross-Functional Technical Writing: Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to translate complex technical features into documentation and training materials for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Enablement Content & Design: Develop and design visually compelling training materials, including interactive modules, product tours, and slide decks.
  • Workflow Optimization: Maintain and optimize internal knowledge bases (e.g., Confluence) and ensure external-facing documentation remains current and up to date.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively gather feedback and use data to identify gaps in documentation or training effectiveness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Expert Communicator: Exceptional ability to explain complex technical concepts simply and professionally, with a proven track record of collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Tool Proficiency: Advanced experience with Jira for task management and tracking, along with documentation tools such as Confluence, Zendesk, or Vimeo for content hosting.
  • Technical Writing Background: Proven experience in technical writing or professional documentation (portfolio samples preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Comfort with Markdown, basic HTML/CSS, or version control (Git). Experience with ERP systems or banking APIs is a strong asset.
  • Design Sensibility: Ability to create clean, professional visual content (e.g., diagrams, screen recordings, or UI/UX mockups).
  • Organizational Mastery: High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent relationship building skills: with ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in English or Communications, Technology or related field
  • Location: Ability to work from our downtown Vancouver office in the Guinness Tower.

Bonus Skills: Experience with AI technology or automation is a plus.
