The Role

Felix is hiring an HR Manager to support all pharmacy and warehouse operations across our network. Current sites: Mississauga, ON and Port Coquitlam, BC.

The HR Manager serves as the dedicated HR lead for these sites, owning employee relations, policy and compliance, and full-cycle recruitment for pharmacy and warehouse roles. The role is hybrid, with up to 3 days per week on-site in Mississauga and travel to Port Coquitlam, BC, based on business needs.

This role reports to the VP, HR and partners closely with the HR Coordinator and HRBPs. The ideal candidate brings HR experience supporting a consumer brand with a physical operation: pharmacy, warehouse, fulfillment, and/or manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations and HR Support

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers across pharmacy and warehouse teams in Mississauga, Port Coquitlam, and future sites.

  • Coach pharmacy and warehouse leaders on performance management, employee development, and day-to-day people decisions.

  • Own employee relations cases end-to-end, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and terminations.

  • Establish trusted relationships with both populations: in person at Mississauga and through virtual partnership and periodic site visits at Port Coquitlam and future locations.

HR Policies and Compliance

  • Implement, communicate, and enforce HR policies consistently across all sites.

  • Ensure compliance with provincial employment legislation in Ontario and British Columbia, with the ability to extend coverage to additional provinces.

  • Maintain awareness of provincial College requirements, including licensure and scope of practice considerations.

  • Serve as a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) at each site, partnering with Felix’s Health Compliance team on workplace health and safety, including warehouse-specific considerations such as ergonomics, material handling, and equipment training.

  • Identify policy gaps and develop and roll out solutions to address them.

Pharmacy and Warehouse Recruitment

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment across the network for pharmacy roles (Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants) and warehouse roles (Shippers, Leads, Inventory) in Mississauga and Port Coquitlam.

  • Lead high-volume hourly recruitment for warehouse roles, including weekend and after-hours interviews during operational ramps.

  • Partner with pharmacy and warehouse leaders at each site to define hiring needs and forecast pipeline against shipping volume.

  • Source licensed pharmacy talent through outbound channels, referrals, and industry networks, with a working knowledge of provincial licensure differences.

  • Build local warehouse pipelines in each market through community partnerships, referrals, and job-board strategy.

  • Deliver a strong candidate experience from initial outreach through offer.

  • Prepare and issue accurate, compliant employment agreements per province.

  • Administer recruitment workflows in Ashby, including job postings, candidate tracking, and reporting.

HR Operations and Team Partnership

  • Partner with the HR and Pharmacy Operations teams on onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee data management for all sites.

  • Work alongside HRBPs to maintain consistency in policy application, programs, and employee experience across the business and across provinces.

  • Maintain employee data integrity within BambooHR to a zero-error standard.

  • Support cyclical HR programs (performance reviews, engagement surveys, compensation cycles) for all pharmacy and warehouse teams.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of progressive HR experience covering both employee relations and recruitment.

  • REQUIRED: Direct HR experience supporting a pharmacy, warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, manufacturing, or retail environment, ideally for a consumer brand.

  • Recruitment experience for both licensed roles (e.g. Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians) and high-volume hourly roles (e.g. warehouse, fulfillment, retail) strongly preferred.

  • Effective working in both clinical and operational warehouse environments.

  • Strong working knowledge of Ontario and British Columbia employment legislation (ESA, OHSA / WorkSafeBC, Human Rights Codes), including health and safety in a warehouse setting. Ability to extend to additional provinces.

  • Demonstrated track record managing complex employee relations cases with discretion, sound judgment, and thorough documentation.

  • Hands-on experience with Ashby (or comparable ATS) and BambooHR (or comparable HRIS).

  • Zero-error mindset regarding contracts, compliance documentation, and employee data.

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities independently in a fast-paced consumer brand.

  • CHRP or CHRL designation is an asset.

  • Available to work on-site in Mississauga up to 3 days per week, with flexibility based on business needs.

Benefits

  • Full medical, dental, and vision benefits

  • Maternity/paternity policy

  • 4 weeks vacation (3 weeks anytime + 1 week during the holidays)

  • Competitive compensation (prorated for months worked)

  • Stock option grant

  • Strong culture and a high-performing team

  • Meaningful impact at a fast-growing consumer brand with a physical operation

  • Professional development working closely with the VP, HR and senior leadership
