What would you do as an Agronomic Advisor:

As an Agronomic Advisor at Farmers Edge, you will play a pivotal role in managing assigned customer accounts and introducing prospective clients to our innovative agronomic solutions. Your expertise will shine as you leverage remote sensing technology, satellite imagery, and proprietary software to interpret data, creating precise quality zone maps tailored to customer fields. Utilizing our advanced tools, including ZonePro, Sample Pro, RxPro, and ScoutPro, you will formulate and approve effective fertilizer, fungicide, and seeding recommendations. A key aspect of your role is to communicate with growers, helping them understand yield variability maps while identifying potential stressors in their fields. By focusing on customer satisfaction, training, and retention, you will provide exceptional agronomic recommendations that ensure the success of our clients and foster long-lasting relationships.

What we are looking for in an Agronomic Advisor:

  • Post-secondary education in Agriculture, or relevant combination of education and experience
  • A valid Agronomy certification; CCA or 4R preferred
  • Strong understanding of agronomy and/or precision agronomy including but not limited to;
    • Cropping systems and farming practices in the region
    • Fertilizer types and blends
    • Seed and drainage regulations
    • Location farm equipment.
  • Previous experience doing data collection for R&D purposes, growth staging, recognizing disease, weeds, growth, and other environmental pressures.
  • Understanding of basic meteorological data and how it relates to crop production
  • Experience with high tech hardware and software, and the ability to build relationships and provide outstanding customer experience
