Are you someone who enjoys variety in your day and likes to roll up your sleeves to get the job done? We're looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you'll be a key assistant, helping with everything from vehicle maintenance, coordinating equipment pick-ups and drop-offs, managing inventory, support our warehouse relocate and even tackling the occasional out-of-the-box task-like running to the store for supplies. You'll be working alongside our Agronomy Services Manager, assisting with daily operations and potentially even getting out on farm to visit our customers.

As a Logistics Coordinator your key responsibilities will be:

  • Develop annual plan for soil sampling efforts, ensuring all preparation measures are in place and ready to execute for peak season
  • Assist with seasonal hiring, ensuring staffing requirements are met and maintained
  • Oversee and support seasonal Soil Sampler scheduling, day-to-day inquiries and ensuring assigned seasonal tasks are completed efficiently and on-time
  • Manage and coordinate fleet by collecting mileage, conducting vehicle inspections, preparing monthly audits, setting up fuel cards, assigning vehicles and maintaining insurance requirements
  • Manage district inventory levels by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling with Inventory Management System;
  • Complete receiving, warehousing, and distributing operations;
    • Ensure that all activities are reconciled with Inventory Management System
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and couriers to ensure effective coordination for shipping and receiving inventory.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by monitoring security procedures and protocols;
  • Ensure operational efficiency of warehouse space by maintaining, planning and implementing improvements to design layout.
  • Inspect equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Collaborate with relevant operations leaders to assess and coordinate logistics related to location closures, supporting relocation of equipment and inventory as needed
  • Assist in maintenance and troubleshooting of technology equipment
  • On occasion, collaborate with the Agronomy team to provide in field support to farmers
  • Travel* throughout the region to complete duties as required
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for in an Logistics Coordinator:

  • Relevant work experience related to logistics support, warehousing and fleet management.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office tools
  • High level of time management and detail orientation, and strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Creativity in finding solutions to logistical challenges
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
