Falkbuilt Ltd. is looking for a dedicated team player with excellent technical knowledge and experience to join the Safety Team as the on-site Registered Nurse / Advanced Care Paramedic. Falkbuilt is a Digital Component Interior Construction company headquartered in Calgary. We are a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company that needs a high energy, hardworking and motivated individual on our team of Falkers.

In this role, you will provide a wide variety of medical-related services, while taking necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of all. In addition, you will be a contributing member of the Health and Safety team assisting with day-to-day safety operations, and improving our safety program through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making.

The ideal Falker will be hired to work full-time, weekdays and must be easy-going, knowledgeable, willing to learn our operation, and be part of a growing team.

Requirements:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license/Advance Care Paramedic (ACP) Certification (Canadian)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an RN/ACP. Experience in a manufacturing / construction setting preferred.
  • Knowledge with regards to Workplace Health and Safety is considered an asset, if not must be willing to learn.
  • Knowledge of COR Certification and the process involved in obtaining / maintaining is considered an asset, but not required.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to Falker care.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Experience with MS Office suite products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience in technical writing is considered an asset.
  • Must be able to communicate in the English language – strong written, verbal and reading skills are required. Additional languages are considered an asset.
  • Must own reliable transportation and be willing to travel between several locations located within SE Calgary. Valid AB Driver’s license required
  • Must love dogs – they are in the office regularly!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to injuries and illnesses in the workplace.
  • Assist with employee transport to third party medical aid as required.
  • Complete the necessary paperwork as it relates to the injury or illness.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Monitor employee conditions and report any changes to the leadership team.
  • Educate Falkers on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques.
  • Maintain all health and safety stations by ensuring they are adequately stocked with supplies and equipment.
  • Observe daily operations to ensure a healthy and safe workplace.
  • Assist the Team with tasks related to Hazard and Risk Management, Inspections, Investigations, Training, and New Hire Orientations.
