About Faire

Faire is an online wholesale marketplace built on the belief that the future is local — independent retailers around the globe are doing more revenue than Walmart and Amazon combined, but individually, they are small compared to these massive entities. At Faire, we're using the power of tech, data, and machine learning to connect this thriving community of entrepreneurs across the globe. Picture your favorite boutique in town — we help them discover the best products from around the world to sell in their stores. With the right tools and insights, we believe that we can level the playing field so that small businesses everywhere can compete with these big box and e-commerce giants.

By supporting the growth of independent businesses, Faire is driving positive economic impact in local communities, globally. We’re looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join us as we power the shop local movement. If you believe in community, come join ours.

About this role

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented media leader to own our campaign and new channel investment strategy and to elevate our media planning and execution. Reporting directly to the Head of Brand Marketing, this role is critical in ensuring our cross-channel brand media strategy and budget complements performance media efforts, all while delivering measurable impact across the full funnel.

As the owner of our media planning and buying function, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic media plans for integrated brand campaigns (KPIs: awareness, consideration) and mid-funnel (KPIs: conversion, demand generation) campaigns in collaboration with the growth marketing team. You will also deliver buy summaries and measurement recommendations to internal and external partners, ensuring alignment and consistency across teams.

What you’ll do

  • Own Campaign Investment Strategy: Lead the development and management of our integrated campaigns’ investment strategy and spending ratios, ensuring alignment with business objectives and performance goals.
  • Develop Media Plans: Create strategic media plans to ensure our integrated campaigns deliver against upper funnel awareness goals as well as support efficient retailer consideration and conversion goals.
  • Coordinate Media Strategy and Budget: Oversee cross-channel media strategy and budget, working in close collaboration with performance marketing to ensure a cohesive approach across all touchpoints.
  • Deliver Insights and Recommendations: Provide buy summaries, media and channel-specific recommendations, campaign setup guidance, and measurement frameworks to internal and external partners to guide execution and evaluate outcomes.
  • Drive Excellence in Media Buying: Establish best practices for media buying across traditional and emerging channels, driving measurable results at every stage of the funnel.
  • Foster Full-Funnel Accountability: Design and implement consistent processes for goal setting, measurement, and reporting across the entire funnel to ensure clear accountability.
  • Establish Continuous Improvement Cycles: Develop systems to analyze campaign and creative performance, extract actionable insights, and apply learnings to future strategies to drive ongoing optimization across the funnel.
  • Build Strategic Media Capability: Lead the in-house development of strategic media expertise to ensure a strong foundation for consistent and impactful media planning and execution. Assess external media agencies and partners to determine their capabilities and alignment with objectives. Identify the best collaboration model for Faire's media planning and buying needs to complement in-house efforts and maximize effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 8- 10+ years of in-house or agency experience in media planning, ideally at the Associate Director or Director level.
  • Deep knowledge of media strategy, planning, and buying, with a proven ability to integrate brand and performance media to achieve a blend of awareness, consideration, and conversion goals.
  • Strong understanding of traditional and emerging media capabilities and trends, with the ability to adapt strategies to evolving platforms and technologies.
  • Proficient in standard media planning tools and concepts, including media math (Reach, Frequency, CPM, GRPs, CPP), target audience development, and optimizing toward media goals.
  • Solid grasp of ROI frameworks and performance metrics, including LTV/CAC, incrementality testing, and balancing Last Click attribution with Media Mix Modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly and using resources effectively.
  • Professional, structured communication skills with a proven ability to influence and align stakeholders across teams and levels.
