Director, Finance

As the Director of Finance, you will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy and ensuring the fiscal health of our organization. You will oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, and reporting. Your insights will be invaluable in guiding executive decision-making and fostering sustainable growth.
In This Role You Will:
- Lead the finance team in managing all day-to-day financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Develop robust financial strategies to support the company’s growth objectives and provide strategic recommendations to the VP, Finance and CFO based on financial analysis and projections
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations
- Support relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions
- Support M&A activities and integration processes as needed

- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies that support growth and profitability. Align financial plans with the company's mission and vision.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks. Develop robust risk management frameworks to protect the company's financial health.
- Communication Skills: Convey complex financial information clearly to stakeholders. Present financial reports, explain strategies, and provide guidance.
- Collaboration and Team Building: Work closely with other departments to integrate financial strategies. Foster a collaborative work environment and mentor future financial leaders.
- Technological Proficiency: Be adept with emerging technologies, financial software and data analytics tools, such as Salesforce, Looker, Tagetik and Intacct. Leverage digital transformation trends to improve financial processes.
Credentials and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful financial strategies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a team.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Experience in a private equity environment and familiarity with project-based work
- Legal right to work in the United States
This role is designed to be hybrid in Charlotte, NC.
