Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective manufacture of our vehicle mechatronics system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, as well as experience in process development and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, quality control plans, and assembly line floor plans
- Collaborate with production and design teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines
- Maintain and update manufacturing databases and records
- Design and optimize production processes for mechatronics vehicle components, including wiring harnesses, battery systems, power electronics, and pneumatics
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that includes procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role in a fast-paced environment, preferably in the automotive or electric vehicle industry
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques, including machining, welding, and assembly
- Experience with CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience implementing process improvements
- Familiarity with quality control tools, such as statistical process control (SPC), failure modes effects analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
