Strategic Account Manager

What you'll do in this position:
- Establish relationships with new customers and leverage existing relationships within Engineering and End User markets in Canada, primarily Alberta.
- Promote Chemelex Heat Management Systems with the target of developing and securing EP and EPC project business for the company.
- Identify and pursue other key projects and programs to build funnel/pipeline with opportunities for significant revenue, profit and growth in the Alberta and Western Canadian marketplace
- Using your strong Technical background, work with the client base to understand their applications and to develop applicable HMS strategies and solutions.
- Utilizing your strong background in control panel and packaged equipment, work with client base and Chemelex leadership to identify opportunities to differentiate Chemelex products and solutions
- Work with the larger Chemelex organization to develop high level HMS presentations, lead the presentation messaging through development of a strategic vision to meet the needs of each specific project and client.
- Coordinate Proposal and Estimating activities in conjunction with applicable Chemelex functional teams to deliver new project opportunities.
- Strive to "Make the Numbers", investigate alternates, and develop new business.
- Work with other Strategic Account Managers and Director of Strategic Account Management to establish Strategic Accounts
- Work with other Calgary based Strategic Account Manager to identify further focus on Canadian and Global projects where influencing Strategic Accounts is imperative to Chemelex success
- Generate market intelligence, recommend actions to maintain competitive position, and identify preferred market segments and account base.
- Work with management to provide forecasting and project milestone plans.
- Assist Regional and Sales Management in the development of sales plans, operational plans, and strategic plans for the applicable markets.
- Maintain an ethical and professional relationship with all customers, internal and external contacts.
You have:
- 5–10+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or account management within industrial, energy, or EPC environments
- Proven experience developing and managing customer relationships in EPC project environments
- Demonstrated success in building and managing a sales pipeline, including identifying, pursuing, and closing large-scale project opportunities
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand customer applications and translate them into engineered solutions
- Knowledge of heat management systems, electrical heating, or similar technologies (preferred)
- Experience working with strategic accounts and influencing key stakeholders across complex organizations
- Ability to develop and deliver high-impact technical presentations and articulate value propositions to both technical and commercial audiences
- Experience coordinating proposals, estimating, and cross-functional project teams
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and margin targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and leadership to drive business outcomes
